It was a black and dreary summer night which was unusual for Oklahoma. The weirdest thing though, was the noise, or to be more specific, the lack of said noise. The crickets were quiet as can be, no owls or other nightly animals made a noise, the vegetation didn't rustle at all. The sound of running broke the silence. A boy, no older than the age of seven, could be seen running from an invisible enemy. He broke out of the foliage and into a clearing where there were two people sitting by a fire beside a small stream. The male turned to watch the young boy. His face suddenly conveyed anger, towards the child or not the boy didnt know. Blackness took over as he passes from consioucness.

"Peace brother," the woman said, " it is not his fault that he is our brothers son."

"Yes, I realize that Hestia," he replied, " however, I thought that Poseidon would be more sensible than this."

"Yes, I thought so too Hades," the woman, now known as Hestia, replied, "however, if we leave him like this he will resent the gods when he learns of them. I ask that you adopt him brother. Do not pass this oppurtunity to train what will be the strongest demigod to ever exist."

"And if I refuse?"

"Then the world as we know it may just cease to exist."
