author's note | yay, pointless drabble about the superheroes, by far my favorite characters in the games. :3 I was going to add Rocket, the new girl, but I forgot. And oh, I obviously don't own the amazing Animal Crossing.

world domination

The superheroes took up their dashing capes and pretentious weapons, off to save the world, living inside their own little daydreams. As they swooped in to save the day once again in another town, their heroic acts would be greeted by a recurring, common question from the villagers:

Are you supposed to be superheroes?

This was usually followed by a laugh, an exasperated shake of the head, and sometimes an under-the-breath mumble, Is every day Halloween to you guys? But Kid Cat wasn't daunted by the countless funny looks he received all over town. In fact, he knew that the other animals secretly even admired the eccentric trio.

Kid Cat (a cat, obviously) was the leader of the famous gang, a huge jock with an omnipresent red number 1 shirt and shiny helmet. Next came his sidekick, Agent S: a tomboyish squirrel with a hyper and hard-to-control personality. Finally, the villain (who wasn't really evil), lazy elephant Big Top who loved nothing more than eating and sleeping.

Well, what kind of superheroes were they? Their mission was to save the world from bad fashion taste, those tiny espresso cups at the café, the spreading invasion of indestructible orange trees, lazy Mayor Tortimer with all his odd quirks and indecipherable rantings, and much, much more.

They'd always add to their ever-growing list when they received another request from the villagers, or thought of another challenge to take on.

The trio went about town with a confident demeanor; every day was a busy one, full of work and duties to do. After all, they were the town's heroes. Everyone depended on them for safety. And at the end of the day, they'd slap high-fives.

Another mission accomplished!

But they'd never stay in the same city for too long. After they brought about the perfection of yet another town, Kid Cat took his best friends' hands and ran, away from the world and into their own made-up fantasies, jumping into a new life and leaving the old one behind. They'd buzz from flower to flower, dropping their legacy on each town and then flying away into the horizon, into that golden sun so far in the distance.

Kid Cat, Big Top, and Agent S. Their names were synonymous with those of heroes.
