Title: Define Me

Summary: Ed POV, a sorta snapshot of the feelings he harbors for his father, angst

Disclaimer: I don't own Edward Elric or his daddy issues, however, I do own my own father issues. . .O.o That's gotta count for something, people,'

Eh, it doesn't really make sense. Oh well. This is what happens when you are to stressed to really write, lol. Tell me if you think it does, please.

I wanted to show Ed confronting the fact that his father, a person he -hates- is within him and a part of what makes him who he is.

Define Me

His smile. He had his mother's smile, right?

Edward Elric smiled into the mirror across from him, a smile that did not reach his eyes.

Yeah, sure, that was his mother's smile. Who the hell was he kidding?

Edward Elric knew exactly whose smile leered back at him from the glass.

His father's smile.

Father?

Was that the right word? Had that ever been the right word?

What did that word really mean?

He studied himself in the mirror, glass still fogged over slightly from the moisture in the air.

He watched his face flush a bright red.

His face. His father's face.

Lines creased his forehead as his mouth twisted in anger.

Father. . .what did that mean. . .

The impact of his fist into the mirror erased all smiles effectively.

Non existant.

That's what the hell father meant.

End

Yeah, I'm done. Wow, that really sucked, lol. So short!
