Hiiiiii. So I haven't written any stories for a long long looong time so be supportive. :) Review if you want me to continue and if I do, this is where I'll be responding to the reviews.
POV ; Stephanie
"Shhhhhh." The voices whispered in her head while she was heading to her next class.
Even though Stephanie wasn't even close to being the only one in that hallway, she felt as if she was alone, and that everyone else walking in that same hallway was just background noise for what was going on inside her head, those voices that wouldn't leave her alone.
The only thing Stephanie could think about was last week. Last week, last week, k. "What have you done?!" She heard her mom yell. That same sentence echoed repetitively in her head.
"Shhhhhhh..." There they were again.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a group of jocks, laughing their butt off at a guy in a wheelchair with red... slushie? all over his face and clothes. One of the jocks were holding an empty, plastic cup that looked like it had been from a gas station. Stephanie connected the dots.
Without even thinking, she stomped down the hall to the guy holding the empty cup and she punched him as hard as she could with her right hand.
Silence. Dead silence.
After a few seconds, he looked at her with a smirk on his face. "The new girls tryin' to be bad." His so-called friends, more like his followers, laughed at his little comment.
Well there went Stephanie's chances of rolling with the popular crowd.
If Stephanie wasn't new at this school, she would of knocked him the heck out. But since she didn't want to be known as "the pretty one with the anger problem" anymore, she decided that after this, she was keeping her mouth shut and she was keeping her hands to herself.
"I don't have to try, I already am bad." Stephanie smirked back at him, winked sarcastically at him, and shoved her way past him and his friends.
The jocks just laughed, following their leader.
"Hey, wait!" A voice called out after Stephanie. Stephanie turned around only to be facing the boy in the wheelchair with the slushie all over him. "Thanks." He said, the fact that he was grateful for what she had done showing in his face expression. Stephanie bent down to his height, her long, mousy brown hair falling over her shoulders. "Don't mention it... please, don.'t."She whispered, giving him a look that basically said "Ew, what is this creature?"
In her mind, just because she wasn't rolling with the cool kids, didn't mean she have to hang with the losers.
The boy in the wheelchair had frowned. "I'm Artie." Stephanie looked him over twice before responding. "I'm Stephanie... Nice to meet you." Nope, not really. She pursed her lips and turned around, heading to her next class when she saw one of the school's cheerleaders pass her by, only to go straight to Artie, give him a peck on the lips and sit on his lap.
...Maybe they could be friends after all.
I know it's not the best start, but it is what it is. So tell me what you think. :) Positive reviews only but if you have any advice or any *construccctive* criticism to give, I'll be more than willing to listen.
