Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters here!
I hear the cries of the Delawares and the white Munro family reaching all the way to the skies. I look down and I behold the bodies of Uncas and Alice Munro lying side-by-side, their remains together even in death. It is an hour of darkness and death for the humans beneath, and I feel their grief and prayers reaching out to me.
Why do they mourn the death of Uncas the brave and Alice the gold-haired woman? Their life on earth is over, but their spirits will live on in the happy hunting grounds forevermore. Uncas the Mohican will run there with the wind guiding his feet, and the white woman will follow him faithfully as she did in the moment she threw herself off the cliff for him. I will guide them to the happy hunting grounds gently, and they shall never again be burdened by the wars that will claim so many more victims.
Theirs is a love stronger than iron, and more lasting than the earth and sun and moon. It is unbreakable, and will last beyond time, binding them to each other for all eternity. Uncas is a man with a courage beyond anything I have seen, and I will ensure that his sacrifice for the woman shall never be forgotten. Until the day his blood kin and friends join him in the happy hunting grounds, he will never again be alone, for the woman he loves will stay by his side, and nothing can tear them apart again. They shall laugh and run freely like the wind, and they will know a joy that lasts forever.
I, the Great Spirit, have declared it so.
Well, I'm finally back after a pretty long time of not posting anything, eh? I just finished watching the LOTM film, so I thought I'd write something about it (and yes, I know it's short)! It's my first time writing a LOTM fic, so please don't be too harsh with me. All reviews and constructive criticism are most welcome.
