So it's been a while. Four years, or a little more, since the last chapter was posted, and something like eight years since the story was first begun. When I finished "Harry Potter and the Bard's Song", I didn't really intend to do much with it. I have some vague thought that it would make a cool original story, and that maybe I'd write it someday. But first, I'd have to change it a lot. Take out the silly teenage romances, flesh out a world for it to take place in, create a history and a bad guy and all sorts of things. And I'm famous for starting stories like that, and never finishing them.

So, it's to everyone's complete astonishment that, four years later, I've done it. I started working on Bard's Song as an original novel, and it blossomed far beyond anything I expected, turning into a series of five books in their own unique fantasy world, with their own unique history. Bard's Song has become the final book of the series, and has needless to say changed a great deal.

To make a long story short (too late), the first of these five books, All the Ages, has as of two days ago been submitted for publication. In honour of this event, in honour of the fact that I hope the new, original version of Bard's Song will be following in the next couple of years, and in honour of the fact that quite frankly reading my hideously inane, overly-romanticized, disturbingly un-beta'd teenage ramblings is making me shudder in horror as well as feel proud of how much I've grown as a writer and as a person over the course of this series, Bard's Song is as of today being removed from the site.

I know there probably isn't anyone still hanging around who enjoyed this story, or who will be sorry to see it go, but if there is, feel free to contact me and we'll see what we can do. Bard's Song is always going to have a little special corner of my heart, if only for what it inspired me to accomplish, but it had an honourable life and is now going on to an early and lazy retirement.

Thank you to everyone who commented and criticized this fic over the years it was present here. I wouldn't be where I am today without your support and suggestions, and neither would my writing.
