Since it is Father's Day, I decided to write this featuring Zane and my OC Zara Truesdale (I'm also throwing in Crow because I really wanted to write him, and he spices up the story). Finally, this is my first 5Ds fic, so please be nice and Enjoy!

Zara and Crow leaned back into the couch, contently watching DVDs of old Duels with Zara's father and his friends. They had been like that all way, two best friends simply enjoying the day.

Crow suddenly reached for the remote and paused the current Duel. "Hey Zara, you know it's Father's Day right?" he asked her, his grey eyes dull with concern.

Zara tensed up almost instantly. "Yes I know," she replied. "But I know what you're gonna say, and no: I'm not going to talk to my Dad."

Crow narrowed his eyes. "Come on Zara, I think it's time to put the past behind you and make up with-"

"YOU THINK I HAVEN'T TRIED BEFORE!?" Zara spat, bitter tears forming in her eyes, causing Crow to jump slightly. "Every time I tired to talk to him in the past, he turned me away! Now I've finally come to terms that he doesn't want me as his daughter anymore."

Crow looked heartbroken at Zara's outburst, then saw something (or someone) and smiled softly. "If you believe that, look behind you." he said simply, then turned and went into the other room.

Zara, confused, whipped around to see what or who was behind her. She gasped and dropped her glass of water when she saw her father standing in the doorway, wearing a sad smile on his face.

"D-dad," Zara studdered, at a complete lose for words. "I-I..."

"You're wrong you know." Zane said simply, not once breaking eye-contact.

"'Wrong'? Wrong about what?" the twenty-year-old asked, tilting her head at her dad.

Zane approached his daughter and gently placed a hand on her cheek. "Wrong about me not wanting you as my daughter," he explained soothingly. "You always have and always will be my daughter, no matter what you believe or what anyone says. I love you Zara, now and forever."

Zara didn't say anything, just broke down, fell into Zane's chest, and cried. Zane's fatherly instincts took over, and simply wrapped his arms around his daughter to comfort her.

In that moment, Father and Daughter were finally reunited in spirit and the two could make up for all the time they had lost for so many years.

I'm sorry it's so short, but if I had made it any longer it would've had major spoilers for the 5Ds project I plan to write after my other three stories are done. Anyway, I hope you liked this.

Please R&R!
