No one saw it coming. Well know one except Henry. The archer was standing more then 50 feet away partly concealed behind a clump of bushes. He was holding a bow and a very special arrow. The kind that can reach its target know matter which direction it was shot.

Henry barely saw it in time. Everyone was to relived at their victory that know one paying attention to anything else. They stood there laughing making jokes and planning to go back to Storybrooke as soon as Merlin could open another portal.

The arrow raced through the air at an astonishing rate so know one even glanced at it. 30 feet away, 20 feet. Henry had seconds. He knew where that arrow was heading and it would be the death of its target.

Henry pushed Regina aside just at the last moment.

Blood. Dark red blood. Surrounded him. His vision was starting to blur. His hearing wasn't working properly. Everything around him was an echo. Voices then screaming. People crowded around.

He felt someone taking his hand. The touch of a mother. She begged him to stay with her. He could feel her tears falling onto him like rain. He didn't want to die he wanted to stay with her. To go home and finally be a complete family. Just like she had always wanted.

He was crying, she was crying. So many tears. His breathing slowed. His pulse very faint but still there.

More voices, something like "can't you do anything?" And "to late, to much blood"

He had to tell her before he was gone. To let her know this wasn't the end for her only for him and it was okay.

"Promise me you'll be happy" he was able to say in barely a whisper.

" you know I can't have my happy ending, not without you" she said crying with every word

He squeezed her hand with as much strength as he could muster as if to say that she has to go on. Finally she nodded.

"I love you and I will always love you " she could barely say it " my little prince"

Henry heard his mothers voice in less then an echo

And with one final breath he said "you were my happy ending, I love you mom"
