Yes, yes, I should be writing my other stuff I promised (sorry sis!), but those plot bunnies ran away. So here comes another one-shot, so, well, here comes more fluffy stuff… XD

Disclaimer: I own none.

Thunder clapped and lightning lit the sky, making enough noise to wake a tired brunette who had just managed to get to sleep. Deciding that there was no way to sleep through this storm; she grabbed her robe and headed downstairs to make something to drink.

Later, when she's standing in front of a stove where tea is heating, she hears movement from behind her. She rubbed her head, feeling a headache coming on, and added some sugar to the tea.

"Would you like some, Kratos?" She asked, not turning around because she knew he was right behind her. "Tea is wonderful when watching a storm."

Kratos stared at her, blinking for a moment, confused. "Why aren't you asleep Anna? We're leaving tomorrow."

Anna flipped her hair over her shoulder and poured two cups of tea, "You honestly expect me to sleep through this noise? I plan on watching the lightning." And she handed a mug to Kratos, knowing he would follow her.

Kratos rolled his eyes. Anna certainly was a strange girl, but that was why he loved her. Not that he would ever tell her his feelings. How could a girl that extraordinary ever love a monster like him in return?

Anna knew he was following her, but she didn't ever really know why. Sure, she loved him, but there wasn't a snowball's chance in Triet that he would ever feel the same about a silly girl like her.

They both sat down simultaneously on the front porch of the inn they were staying at, and sipped at their tea. Lightning flashed across the sky, and Kratos saw Anna's face light up at the sight. She was scared, definitely, but somehow she managed not to flinch at the sudden noise. Kratos found even her fears and how she faced them fascinating.

Anna knew that he was watching her. She also felt the need to break the silence as usual, "You know, I'm actually afraid of lightning. I love the rain though." She looked at him to gauge his reaction.

"Then why are we out here when it's thunder storming? Why not sit inside?" Kratos asked, genuinely wondering why she did this to herself.

"Because…Because I'm not so afraid when I'm not alone." Anna mumbled, hiding her face in her hair.

Kratos was taken aback. What did she mean? Did she mean she wanted him to stay? Sometimes it was so very difficult to guess what she was thinking. He had been around for four thousand years, and he still didn't know how to respond in situations like this. So instead of thinking, he followed his instincts, and spoke without thinking. "Then you'll never be alone." Kratos promised, and to avoid saying anymore, he took a long drink from his mug of tea.

Anna grinned, and jumped a little with the next flash of light and burst of noise. Maybe it wasn't a confession, but it would do for now. For both of them.

What did you think? It's a bit short, but they all are. Not too fluffy, but enough to shut up those plot bunnies. What do you think? Please tell me!
