Annabeth POV

When Percy came to me, saying he had a great idea, I should have been worried. But I wasn't. It's not my fault really. Well, maybe it is….

After our practice time in the archery was finished, I was exhausted and Percy was dripping with sweat. He had almost everyone. I thought he was going to brag, but he didn't. He whispered in my ear for me to meet him by the lake. One of the girls from the Aphrodite gave me a smile, which made me blush. It wasn't that way at all. I followed Percy anyway, after glaring at the Aphrodite girl.

Percy was waiting for me on the beach, the lake's water reflected the gorgeous sunset. He told me that he needed my help. He wanted to prank the Ares cabin as they never had before. Despite what Aphrodite's kids might think, I liked this plan much better. If they could help me with Luke, I might change my mind. This would have to do for now though. He whispered in my ear his plan and I ran off into the dark forest already plotting how to get the things he asked for.

I snuck into the attic of the big house once everyone went asleep. Thankfully the oracle didn't more. I got the scarf the Seaweed Brain and I had taken from the water park in Denver. Once I had the love magic out of the scarf, I would return it. Then everything would continue according to plan. Aphrodite would visit camp and all of the Ares' boys would be drooling over her in front of her boyfriend-their father. It was so genius, I couldn't believe Percy came up with it.

At breakfast, Percy sauntered across the dining pavilion, his hand brushing my shoulder- the code to follow him. I did and did my job of distracting the table of Ares' kids, challenging them to capture the flag and insulting them about their lack of recent wins. They were so angry they didn't notice Percy slipping what looked like murky, tasteless water into their drinks. At least the son of Poseidon was good at something. He could make the love potion I concocted with the magic from Aphrodite's scarf seem like water. It was still disgusting though. I slipped away without them noticing me, hoping Percy was smart and followed.

I wanted impatiently for the arrival of Aphrodite and Ares. I was distracted and made a lot of mistakes. Chiron obviously thought something was wrong, but didn't say anything. I wanted the Ares' boys carefully wondering if I would see a change. The same girl, who thought I liked Percy, asked who I had a crush on. I scowled, but said nothing because I heard a car pull up to the big house.

The entire Ares' cabin stampeded the limo, Clarisse in the front. I followed slowly, wanting to see our prank in action without looking suspicious. Percy seemed to be attempting the same thing. Seaweed Brain failed, because Ares saw him at once and glared. Aphrodite waved at him and winked. All of the Ares' boys rushed forward, pushing Clarisse into the mud. They started hitting and kicking each other to get closest to Aphrodite. They looked lovesick and violent and the same time. I'm not sure which was scarier. No one got near enough to talk to her, because Ares pushed her into the limo. Ares probably was planning to disown most of them. By the time he returned the potion would have worn off and the boys wouldn't have remembered anything that happened. Ares and Aphrodite left the camp as fast as the limo could drive. Percy and I started laughing, loud enough to be heard over the fist fight still going on. Clarisse had gotten out of the mud and screeched at Chiron: "It was Percy and Annabeth!" We both got kitchen duty and had to write and apology to Aphrodite and Ares. It was worth seeing the entire Ares cabin get in trouble with their Dad. Since the potion left them without the memory of the entire event, they weren't even angry at us- except for Clarisse. But nothing's new there. Poseidon and Athena always conquer!
