Taichi firmly believes that the best thing for a hot, summer day is ice cream. It's cool, refreshing, and tastes great. It's also easily accessible during summer, and a relatively healthy thing to have as a snack as long as it isn't laden with chocolate sauce and sprinkles and marshmallows.

Today is a hot, summer day, and neither Taichi nor his pretty girlfriend has any plans. He decides that ice cream is definitely in order, so he rummages through the freezer to see what he can find.

Unfortunately, they don't have much in the way of ice cream. All that Taichi manages to find is a box containing a single choc ice.

It's a tough decision, but eventually Taichi decides that Sora should take it. She likes choc ices better than he does, so it only makes sense that she should have the last one instead of him.

Sora refuses, telling Taichi that she doesn't want it. She's perfectly content with the bottle of strawberry flavoured water at her side; she doesn't want any ice cream. Besides, she's on a summer diet and choc ices are definitely not on her healthy eating plan.

But Taichi persists. He doesn't want the choc ice if it means that Sora will have to go without. He'd much rather she ate it than let him have it, because he'd feel too guilty if he ate it.

Sora insists that she doesn't want it; he was the one who wanted ice cream in the first place, not her. She's not bothered in the slightest if he eats the last one. Even if she did want it, she wouldn't take it because it'd taste funny after drinking flavoured water. When he says that she might change her mind when she sees him eating it, she says that she'll go down to the shops and buy some more if that's the case.

This isn't good enough for Taichi, but he drops the subject and takes the last choc ice anyway. He eats it on his way to the shops, wanting to restock before Sora does change her mind.
