Alice's Adventures in Wonderland has and always will be my favorite book in the world. Its fun characters and imaginative world have captivated me since I was very young. Here, I dedicate this poem to the master of poetry.

Thank you, Lewis Carroll

Tea with the Mad Hatter

Pretty little tea cups

And cups filled with sugar and cream

Dainty little silverware

It feels almost like a dream

Rainbow cakes and Lemon drops

Doilies white as snow

We'll exchange stories and poetry

Until it's time to go

Nibbling on tasty butter biscuits

And sipping steamy hot tea

We'll watch how Wonderland moves around

My three companions and me

We hear the cries of the Queen of Hearts

As she screams, "Off with his head!"

You'd better be good at flamingo croquet

Or you'll very soon be dead

The Caterpillar, as we all know,

Still sits on his mushroom and ponders

What lies beneath the grass around him

And beyond the garden gate yonder

Both the Gryphon and the Mock Turtle

Would love to see your skill

At how you weave among fishes and such

As we all dance the Lobster Quadrille

The Tweedle Brothers, Dum and Dee,

Still fight over their silly old rattle

Perhaps once they've finished their Tale of the Oysters,

We shall get to see them battle!

The Red Queen commands, "Don't twiddle your fingers!"

The White Queen says gently, "Don't cry,"

"The eighth square is still waiting for you, dear,

I know you'll get there by and by,"

And where is that rabbit, that silly White Rabbit,

With his gold pocket watch and long ears

His hurrying and worrying has caused this, you know—

Why, he's the very reason we're both here!

Wonderland goes on forever, you see

It would take forever to relate the rest

So come in, sit down, have another cup of tea

Now…

Why is a raven like a writing desk?
