UPDATED 2/29/16 - I just couldn't take it anymore! The format was torturing me and I had to go back and fix it. The story is almost exactly the same because surprisingly enough I wasn't that disappointed with it. I don't know if this means if I'll continue this or update any other stories (cause boy do they need fixing) but I just couldn't let this be one giant paragraph anymore. I think this is a bit better at least.

Very short oneshot, just a quick idea I had when I saw Reid carrying that migraine book.

Reid walked into the bullpen as nonchalantly as possible, trying to ignore the stabbing pain behind his eyes. His satchel hung over his shoulder, and his new favorite accessory, his sunglasses, helped block some light from reaching his eyes.

The only difference in his normal appearance was the migraine book he held under his right arm. He had purchased the book last night in hopes of finding some answer that had previously eluded him, however unlikely. He had attempted to read it last night, but his headache was too strong for him to concentrate on the words and their meanings. He'd read most of the book this morning on his way to work, and was mulling over ideas in his head.

Reid was so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't notice Hotch walking towards him, head in a file, until it was too late.

Papers went flying as the two collided, and Reid scrambled to collect his boss's files while mumbling apologies. He put them back in order as best he could and stood to hand them to Hotch, who was slowly standing as well. Reid apologized again and held out the mess of papers.

Hotch took the files in one hand, then reached out his other to hand Reid the migraine book he hadn't realized he had dropped. Reid reached out to accept it, not meeting his boss's questioning and concerned eyes. His mouth was open but he had no idea what to say.

Hotch seemed as though he was about to say something when JJ walked over and announced a new case. Reid quickly mumbled his thanks, then briskly followed JJ. Hotch stood for a moment, brooding, and finally followed.

Just a small moment that intrigued me. Hope you enjoyed it. Reviews always welcome.
