So this takes place a few months after IOMG so it's probably like the beginning of senior year. Sam and Freddie are dating and Carly's seeing some guy and Gibby is well…Gibby. I don't own Icarly, Shakespeare, or any of the characters but I do own a toaster, a toaster oven.
"Didn't read Romeo and Juliet in the ninth grade?" Sam asks grabbing a soda from the refrigerator.
"Yes but you know how Mr. Passing is like crazy obsessed with Shakespeare? Well I heard from Wendy that he gives random pop quizzes all year on it," Carly answers putting in the dvd.
"At least tell me you got the Leonardo Dicaprio version," Sam says sitting on the couch.
"They didn't have it, but hey this one is more accurate."
"But less hot."
"Where are Freddie and Gibby? They promised they'd come watch with us."
"They were smarter," Sam says as the door opens and Freddie and Gibby walk in drinking smoothies.
"yo yo," Freddie says sitting beside Sam giving her a kiss.
"It's still weird," Gibby says watching the two with a look of disgust on his face.
"It really is isn't it?" Carly asks sitting on the chair next to the television.
"Will you just play the movie?" Sam grumbles leaning against Freddie on the couch. About a half hour into the movie Carly is at the edge of her seat tears in her eyes.
"Carls?" Gibby asks "Are you crying? They haven't even died yet."
"It's just so sweet," She chokes out getting up to get tissues. And so it went on Carly blubbering, Sam and Freddie half asleep and Gibby well….being Gibby. After "Romeo and Juliet", Carly put in" Hamlet" and almost every other Shakespeare movie made until the clock chimed midnight. Carly looked away from Macbeth to see Sam and Freddie lying down the length of the couch fast asleep in each other's arms. Gibby was on the table asleep, don't ask how he got there. Carly sighed and turned off the movie before going up to bed herself.
The next morning Carly woke up at seven on the dot and went downstairs to find the TV on playing "A Midsummer's Night". And more surprisingly Sam and Freddie seeming to be the ones watching it. Sam was half sitting on Freddie's lap her arms around his neck. He had both arms wrapped around her waist and both seemed to be intensely interested in the movie.
"I knew it!" Carly cried as she approached the two.
"Knew what?" Freddie asks turning to Sam with a questioning look.
"You guys like Shakespeare," she said a grin breaking out on her face.
"It's not that bad," Sam murmured resting her cheek on Freddie's shoulder.
"Hey where'd Gibby go?" Carly asks looking towards the table.
"Who knows, he's probably off being Gibby," Freddie said. "Now either join us or leave so we can watch. Carly laughed at her two best friends, who were so in love that they were watching Shakespeare, and joined them to finish the movie.
So we reading Shakespeare in school and I had this idea randomly so review and all that good stuff. Thanks!
