A/N: The chapters will start off short and get progressively longer. Don't ask me why, it just happened. Updates won't be regular/scheduled, sorry. I know this isn't very good, but I'm trying here, so give it a chance. ;)

Revan's Fall

Bastila could sense the Dark Lord's presence as the small Jedi strike team approached the bridge. There were numerous other life forms –soldiers, workers, etc. - that caused her to feel nearly overwhelmed by their fear. But Revan's emotions were distinct among the chaos. He was calm, unnervingly calm. Bastila assumed his tranquility was simply overconfidence and arrogance.

"Shall we proceed to the bridge Masters?" she asked, addressing the rest of the strike team.

"We shall, Padawan," Master Kran, a human male with a gentle personality, replied. "Be on your guard. Do not underestimate Revan's power."

As Bastila nodded, the two other masters behind her –Nashed and Handen- moved past her and stabbed their lightsabers into the door to the bridge and together they carved an opening large enough for each person to fit through. Master Handen, a strict yet kindly Kel Dur went first, followed by Master Nashed, a human female, Master Kran, and finally Bastila.

The Jedi moved towards where the Dark Lord was standing at the other end of the room, and the people working at the bridge scrambled to move from their path. There was a perfect chance at that moment to attack Revan, but something stopped Bastila from doing so.

Perhaps it was out of fear or something else, but she remained rooted to the spot. Revan certainly was intimidating. With his long black robes, his crimson blade that would shine brilliantly when activated, and his fearsome Mandalorian mask, he could easily strike fear into his enemy's hearts.

While he was daunting, the Dark Lord was just a symbol. Revan had once been a Jedi, held the same ideals as her. Although Bastila had only seen him on the HoloNet giving speeches, she knew he hadn't always been how he was. But despite that, she also knew that there was no coming back for him. He has become a monster, she thought.

Master Handen distracted her from her thoughts. He had drawn his blue blade and was looking about wildly. Bastila sensed dark presences, and seconds later four Dark Jedi emerged from the shadows. She and the other masters activated their lightsabers and red blades clashed against blue, green, and yellow.

Only after the Dark Jedi had fallen did Revan acknowledge the Jedi. He turned away from his view of the galaxy to face the oncoming Force-users, and once again Bastila froze in her tracks.

Each Jedi stood defiantly, and no one was prepared to back down.

"You cannot win, Revan," Bastila said, pointing her yellow saberstaff at him.

As she was about to engage combat, she saw streaks of red light hurtling towards the bridge from outside in space. She hurriedly used the Force to shield herself, and so she was prepared when the blast came.

Revan, however, was not. When the blaster fire hit the bridge, the ship's deflector shields kept the hull from sustaining much damage, but because Revan had been standing so close to the large window, he was knocked onto the ground.

He didn't get up. In fact, he didn't move at all. Warily, Bastila approached the fallen Sith Lord as one would a wounded predator. She knelt down beside him and saw that he was not breathing. Frowning, she checked for a pulse. To both her relief and her terror, an artery throbbed faintly under her touch.

"He's alive," she declared to no one in particular. "But barely."

The other Jedi gathered around her and Revan. Part of Bastila yearned to end his life right there, to make him pay for all the suffering he had caused. But her Jedi instinct told her no, and rarely did she ever ignore that instinct.

"I think I can save him." At the masters' questioning looks, she added, "It is the Jedi Way."

"Indeed, Padawan," Master Kran said. "Do what you must, but be swift."

Bastila nodded, knowing she didn't have much time. She opened her mind, searching for Revan's life force. When she found it, it was so faint she almost missed it. She concentrated on keeping him alive by lending him some of her own strength. When at last she felt he was ready to be moved, she stood up and motioned for the masters to do what they needed.

Master Handen carefully grabbed Revan's arms and Master Kran grabbed his legs, and they slowly made their way out of the bridge. Master Nashed took up the rear while Bastila lead the front.

Only when they were back on the boarding ship and safely in hyperspace was Bastila finally able to relax. Finally, Revan had been captured. Alive.
