A gentle breeze swept through the air, as Mackenzie entered the grounds of Hogwarts. She wasn't used to this surrounding. She had come from Texas, and as such ... had never seen snow. It was December, and she had just been transferred to this school.

Not knowing what to do next, she just looked at the ice-covered lake and smiled at her reflection. She had long wind-swept blonde hair, and brilliant blue eyes. Her figure was slender, and her height gave her the appearance of a supermodel. Her brother, Eric, stood with her. He also had the same sun-dyed hair, which hung un-kept in his face, and crystal blue eyes. They shared the same birthday, and also the same thoughts.

"I'm not sure about this school..." Eric marked, kicking a pebble from the ground. "What if we get kicked out of here, too?" Mackenzie sighed heavily, remembering very well her record with schools. It wasn't her fault, nor her brothers. They simply had always been in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

"Don't worry, Eric. Maybe we'll get lucky here." Her voice was doubtful, as she shivered from the cold. Tightening the grip around her cloak, she looked around. She saw an abnormally large man walking toward them. He had a shabby look to him. His beard was un-kept, and his hair the same way. He wore a large trench coat, and along side him, was a large dog.

"G'day!" The man said, his voice booming. "M'name's Hagrid, and I'm the gamekeeper ere' at Hogwarts." Mackenzie liked the look of him, he seemed kind enough. She smiled in return to his greeting, and held out her hand.

"My name is Mackenzie Henderson, and this is my brother, Eric." He took her hand in his monstrous one, and shook it violently. As she looked over at her brother, she couldn't help but laugh. He looked absolutely shocked, as though he would faint. All the color was drained from his face, and his knees were shaking. Mackenzie wasn't sure if this was from the cold, or from the shock of seeing this enormous man.

"C'mon. Let me take yer back to the school, it's freezin' out ere'!" Hagrid took their bags in his monstrous arms, and began walking back to the school. Mackenzie and Eric had to jog to keep up with his giant steps, but were glad to be getting out of the cold. Mackenzie looked over at Eric, and smiled.

"I think we might just make it here, Eric. I've got a good feeling about this place." Eric smiled in return, and moved his hair from his eyes.

"I think you're right, Kenny... I really think you're right."
