Author's Note: My friend and I made a scrapbook for a friend of ours for Christmas. In it we had twenty one shots of twenty different slash pairings that we wrote over one weekend. Yup. Ten stories each in one weekend. That was fun. Anywho, after giving her the present, we decided to put our stories up on . So, here is one of them. To read the stories my friend wrote, visit her page at steelagainstivory.

Each story we did had a different theme. This one we called 'parody'. This was and idea I have had for awhile but never wrote. I may finish this story later, but for now it will stay a one shot. So, enjoy and review it if you so wish. I love reviews! Unless you are a flamer, in which case, get a life that does not corrolate with mine.

And, if it isn't obvious, I do not own the characters. Only the situations I put them in.

Beauty and the Beast

"Heero, there's something I want to show you," Duo's deep voice resonated. He began to open the huge oak door, then stopped. "But first you have to close your eyes. It's a surprise," he explained.

After a moment of hesitation, Heero finally closed his eyes. Duo waved his arms in front of him, just to be sure. Once he was satisfied, he opened the door. He gently placed his overgrown paw in Heero's hand as he led him inside.

Once he crossed the threshold, Heero asked, "Can I open them?"

"No, no. Not yet," Duo looked around the room. Something was missing. "Wait here," he called as he walked to a nearby window and drew the heavy, burgundy curtain back. Light spilled into the room.

"Now can I open them?" Heero inquired.

"All right. Now," Duo allowed, nervously awaiting Heero's reaction. How he hoped he would like it.

Heero opened his eyes and looked around the library. There were books everywhere! Though, judging by the dust, they were long forgotten.

"I can't believe it," Heero whispered, "I've never seen so many books in all my life." He marveled openly.

"You like it?" Dou smiled.

"It's wonderful," Heero conceded.

"Then it's yours," Duo decided.

"Thank you," Heero said, never taking his eyes off of Duo.

Out in the hall, five people were crowding around the door, watching the two.

"Oh, would you look at that," Catherine said with a knowing look.

"I knew it would work," Trowa added.

"What? What works?" Wufei asked, trying to get a peek inside.

"It's very encouraging," Quatre commented.

"Istn't it exciting?" Zecks exclaimed.

"I didn't see anything," Wufei complained.

"Come along, Wufei. There are chores to be done in the kitchen," Catherine changed the subject as she began walking away with a smile.

"But, what are they talking about? What is going on?" he asked as he trailed after her.
