Shattered Mind

The voice that's talking to him now is a ghost,

He died along time ago,

Spencer saw it front of eyes,

And now he is haunted by this fact.

He wasn't crazy,

He knew what he was hearing,

It was so clear in his head,

He could swear that unsub's voice in his head

that he was still alive and breathing,

Standing right in front of him.

Spencer wished over and over again for this

all to be a nightmare he was stuck in,

But this was real life,

And he couldn't wake up.

Sometimes,

He wouldn't say anything to the young man

in his presence,

And other times he would,

Because the young unsub would speak right back.

"Why are you still here?" Spencer would ask,

Hoping this ghost wouldn't answer

but it always did,

This ghost would always answer,

"Because you need an outlet. Someone to listen."

Spencer would hold his head,

Praying he wasn't turning out like his mother

who he loved so much,

He didn't want to have paranoid schizophrenia,

He wanted to be sane.

Derek Morgan tapped on his best friend's shoulder,

Smiling like a kid on Christmas morning,

"Are you alright, Reid?" He asked, worried.

Spencer looked around him first,

Wondering if the unsub finally gone,

Somewhere anywhere away from him,

He frowned when he saw him on the jet.

"I'm fine, Morgan." He sighed.

He had to lie.

Because though his mind will one day

Become shattered,

Right now he would be fine.
