Hey hey, well it has been a while! I was just humming away in the shower and had tune stuck in my head so I wrote a little song then put it into a fic. Hope you enjoy, R&R.
Death sounds safe.
The tune wrung through her head like a taunting little child as she wandered through the dark.
Death sounds warm.
Where she had heard it was anyone's guess, but that was not important; not anymore.
Death sounds like a hand I'd like to hold.
The song brought a somewhat twisted sort of comfort, yet it tore her heart into smaller pieces word by word.
Death sounds nice.
Was there a chance she could see him again?
Death sounds whole.
She continued to walk, a single destination in mind. Was it cold? Maybe, it could have been snowing and she wouldn't have known, her heart was numb.
Death sounds like someone I've met before.
Would people miss her if she left. It started to rain again. Almost like the world was crying for her, crying the tears she couldn't anymore.
Death sounds nice.
It hurt so much, but she would learn to live on. She arrived at her destination and collapsed next to the cold stone.
Death sounds warm.
They had always dreamed of spending a night under the stars.
Death sounds like a hand I'd like to hold.
She let one single tear escape as she laid by her husbands grave.
Death sounds nice
She saw him lying next to her
Death sounds warm
A ghost? Se didn't care; they would have their dream. She smiled at him and softly sung.
Yours is the hand I will always long to hold.
