Disclaimer: I don't own Harry or Sirius or anything else mentioned, including Harry's feelings. I only own the poem.

Explanation: In case you get confused the verses alternate between the nearer past and the past years ago for example the first verse is when they first meet and the second is about Sirius' childhood. Thought I should explain that Anyway, it describes how Harry feels about the death of Sirius by using memories.

A/N: Please read this poem even if you don't like poetry! Anyone who reviews this will get a review from me for one of their Harry Potter stories/poems (obviously I can't review stories or poems about books or TV programmes I don't know).

Once my knight in shining Black armour
You came to me when I needed you
I was scared and tried to voice my alarm
But you made me realise, you told me the truth

Beyond the veil

The House of Black left you feeling alone
A mother who thought Voldemort was great
A brother who sought the dark throne
Perhaps to meet my dad was simply fate

Beyond the veil

You became like a father to me
With the warmth and care you showed
But alas Kreacher the House Elf could see
And arranged it all with a heart so closed

Beyond the veil

Assigned to be my Godfather that day
You gladly accepted the duties it gave
But were sent to Azkaban one dreadful day
But you survived showing you were truly brave

Beyond the veil

I rushed to save you - I thought you were dead
That Voldemort had finally found my Kryptonite
Little did I know what my dreams meant
And that you would die that very night

Beyond the veil

I thought I'd have a new home to go to
But you were whisked away with Buckbeak
I wish you could have taken me too
But I was thrown back to the Dursleys feeling weak

Beyond the veil

It was trick - I couldn't believe it
Not until your blood sent a cruse
Flying your way sending you into a pit
Of darkness which no spell could reverse

Beyond the veil

God rest ye merry hippogriffs a song
That I shall never ever let myself forget
You forgot your troubles like nothing was wrong
I miss you so much I lie awake and fret

Beyond the veil

Dumbledore tried to console me - he did
But I was so upset, heartbroken and mad
But now you're gone I would like to admit
That I will forever love you like a dad

Beyond the veil

A/N: So, what did you think? Press that button below and review!

I'm probably going to write some more HP poems and make this into some sort of Harry Potter poetry book with each poem as a different chapter. Tell me if you think this is a good idea.
