A/N I knew very little about haiku so I wiki'd that shit and can now bluff like an expert.
I have tried to stick to the traditional form, including kigo and kireji, and follow Basho's advice that "The haiku that reveals seventy to eighty percent of its subject is good. Those that reveal fifty to sixty percent, we never tire of"
I may have only hit ten or twenty percent though. Kudos to anyone who can deconstruct it. If you are curious ask, and I will tell. Otherwise I am intrigued to know how much of it makes sense (clue – it is Edward/Bella)
Winter Always Turns to Spring*
Dawn races over
the ancient land, cold as ice.
Silent heart of stone.
Heartbeat's shy call, the
song of Life. Under moonlight,
waves erode the shore.
Thanks go to Sweetp-1. She is the rain on my garden.
*Winter Always Turns to Spring is a letter written to Myoichi-ama in May 1275 by the Buddhist teacher, Nichiren - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin.
