Kagome smiled lovingly at the child in the bassinet as she removed the third teething ring, replacing it with another. She looked at the damage and sighed. There was absolutely no saving it. Just like her father, her teeth were great for destroying everything. Kagomes mom walked up beside her and put an arm around her shoulder. "She looks just like him." She sighed. "Even the ears." Kagome smiled back at her. "She has his attitude too mom. Its uncanny." Kagome suddenly sighed. "I miss him so much mom. Do you think he will find a way here?" Her mom looked her in the eyes, giving her a wide smile. "Do you think he would ever give up until he did?" Kagome giggled and shook her head. "I just want to tell him about his daughter. He never even knew i was pregnant before the jewel shard dissapeared and left me here. Do you think he will like her?" Her mom looked at the baby, smiling at her, rubbing her ears. "How could anyone not love this little cutie-wooty?" Kagome giggled as the baby gave her mom a mean look. "Yep. Just like her daddy." Her mom muttered and sighed in dissapointment. "I never get to pet the ears peacefully."

Kagome giggled as the baby let out a soft growl at buyo, pulling the poor cats ears as her father had done so long ago. She was so advanced for her age. At only four months old, she already had her fangs, was attempting to crawl away everywhere, and made growls and other various sounds to express her mood. Kagome felt a pang of loss everytime she looked at her, seeing so much of inuyasha in their daughter. She sighed as she rescued buyo, handing her another teething ring to destroy. She gathered her into her arms and held her close as she thought of her mate. "Oh mina...i wish you could meet your daddy..."

Kagome was washing dishes and humming to herself as mina played in the living room. She paused as she thought she heard something. She turned and saw the front door was open. She shrieked in alarm and ran into the living room. "Mina! Mina where are you?!" She shouted out as she reached the living room door. She paused, staring in shock at the sight before her. Inuyasha was standing in the doorway, a very happy mina in his arms. He smirked at kagome, looking pointedly at mina. "Seems like i missed more than i could have ever imagined." Kagomes heart felt light as a feather. She ran to him, embracing him as he kissed her. Mina looked up at inuyasha and let out a giggle, pointing to his ears. "Da dah." She announced. Kagome gasped in shock. "Her first word! But shes only four months old!" Inuyasha smirked. "That's normal for a hanyou pup. Just wait until she starts to run in a couple months." Kagome let out a giggle. "I can wait for that day...lets go home inuyasha. Please?" He smiled. "I thought you would never ask."
