I can't believe he asked me out, that was just one of the thoughts in Buffy Summers mind. I can't believe that I told him no. There was no denying it Buffy Summers was in love with Alexander Harris. He thought that she was head over heels for Angel, but that just wasn't true.
You must wonder why I said no, well the reason is that I wasn't gonna take the guy that my best friend was in love with. She has no idea that I love him too.
I remember that I'm supposed to be killing the Master, or he's supposed to be killing me. Hearing Giles and Angel's conversation scared me, I really don't wanna die. It took time to make me realize that I didn't have a choice and Willow telling me about the dead guys.
I walked out of the room leaving Willow there to cry. On my way to the library I remember hoping that Giles would tell me the whole thing about dying was a dream, and that I had a chance to live through this. Things were the same though and I was gonna die.
I knocked him out and picked up my cross. I told Ms. Calendar to tell him something cool and I left to go face the Master. The Anointed One takes my hand and leads me to the Master.
All these thoughts have come rushing back as I feel my life creep back. Xander's there, he saved me. I cough. It's so weird dying has made me feel so much more alive. Xander looks at me and I smile.
"I'm so sorry Xander," I murmur.
"For what?" He asks. Sometimes he can be so stupid.
"For earlier, and for not doing this sooner," I say as I grab his lips is a passionate kiss. I surprised him with that. He pulled back seconds later with a smile.
"Then why did you say no earlier?" He asks.
"I said no earlier because it isn't right to steal the guy your best friend is in love with," I answer.
Out of the corner of my eye I see Angel standing there staring at us. He's jealous.
"Sorry Angel, but I don't date vampires I usually stick to killing them," I say as I stand up.
"Speaking of vampires I've got one to go finish off," I add before leading Angel and Xander out of the Master's lair.
And we all know what happens next.
