It was a crisp October evening when Draco slipped up to the Astronomy tower. Pansy and Blaise and the others were having a chess tournament in the common room and they tried to get him to join but he really needed time alone.
The sky was clear with red hues of the setting sun above but off in the distance there were dark clouds that would occasionally flash with lightning. Every few minutes his thoughts were punctured by a low rumble of distant thunder.
He didn't even like Dumbledore. Not one bit. But the idea of killing him did not sit right with Draco. What had gotten into him? Just a year ago he probably would have laughed at the idea of someone killing Dumbledore. But now the idea of people being murdered wasn't so funny anymore. What choice did he have though? If he didn't his parents would be murdered, and as much as he used to make fun of Potter for having dead parents, he really didn't like that prospect. What was he to do?
"Draco" came a voice from across the tower. He looked up and saw Astoria Greengrass, a forth year in his house. He pretended not to hear her
"What are you doing up here?" She asked, coming closer
"Just….nothing" He muttered
"Well Blaise and Pansy wondered where you were and well you've been kind of… off lately so I … I came looking for you" Astoria explained
"I'm…I'm alright, c'mon lets go back to the common room" He replied, standing up and walking towards her.
