I got the idea for this while sewing blankets for my cousins baby.

I don't own naruto and sorry for the spelling and grammar

The machine let out a soft purr as the needle bounced through the three lays of soft, orange flannel, batting and flannel backing. After finishing the seamm Hintata backstitched, front stitched, raised the presser foot, removed the quilted from the machine, and then turned it righ-side out. Hinata then held it up infant of her and let out a triumphant sigh.

"There, finished," she said to herself admiring her work. It was a simple pattern, orange flannel boarding 36 small aida squares. Each of the squares had a baby motif hand cross stitched on it. Some were the standard A-Z motif with an A with an apple, B with a bug etc. Other ten squares each had one of the ten chibified version of the tailed beast along with its corresponding tail number number.

From the moment Hinata found out she was pregnant, she wanted to make the baby a quilt with her own hands. Her own mother made one for her and to this day she still tresured it from the bottom of her heart. Every time, she held the blanket she still felt her mother's love in every stitch thought the lavender fabric. Naturally, she wanted to pass the same kind of love in to this blanket to her own child. The smile soon slipped off Hinata's face. Turns out, Naruto's own mother, the Forth Hokage's Wife, had done the same thing for Naruto. The sad part was, Naruto never received it until he found it when going though the Third Hokage's old stuff.

Hinata shook her head, both her and her husband agreed: no negative thoughts. They would give this baby as much love ] and affection that they never got as infants , and that was a promise.

Soon Melancholy turned to joy. "I can't wait to show this to Naruto." Hinata thought excitedly. She'd been working on this quilt for the last month and wouldn't let her husband see it no matter how much he pleaded. And just to be safe, she hid the WIP in a box with a special lock that only those with a special type of bloodline could open. Although, knowing how persistent her husband was, he probably a had found a way to open it and just never told her.

Thanks for reading, review plz

For those who don't know Aida is a type of fabric that is used for cross stitch, a personal hobby of mine

and WIP means work in progress.
