The wind blew through his golden colored hair and rustled his floppy green beanie. Epona and Link were going out for a short ride into Kakariko Village.

How had all of this happened?

First, he found out that he had been asleep for in a sacred part of Hyrule for seven years. (some nap, Link hardly felt rested).

Then, he found out that in his long and curious absence, an evil Gerudo bandit leader named Ganondorf took over Hyrule Castle and lord knows what's happened to Princess Zelda!

When Link had learned that Zelda was missing and Hyrule was plunged into a frightening and unknown peril, he felt a strange sense of de-ja-vu.

The castle town was now made up satanic monstrosities instead of the cheery townsfolk that used to inhabit the place. The fields that were once home to colorful birds and the occasional fluffy bunny were now over-run by horrible crows and taunting poes. The small, cold breezes that caressingly brushed Link's stern face now carried with it the strong smell of a shattered peace held between good and evil (or maybe it was just Epona).

Talk about a stressful morning.

The Ocarina of Time had been sitting in the small pocket of the belt of his green tunic that mysteriously fit him over a seven year period.

Epona stopped at the edge of the stairs that disappeared into Kakariko Village. Link slowly walked into the village, not knowing what was to come next.
