~Alright so this is my first Vocaloid one-shot. It's based off one of my favorite Len songs, Diva Of Moon Flower. It's my interpretation of the song with a bit of a plot twist. Hope you all enjoy :)

Disclaimer: I do not own Vocaloid.

Sun God- Kaito

Goddess- Miku

Long ago, on a volcanic island in the middle of the sea, there was a village that worshiped the Sun. The villagers were hard working people who fished in the surrounding waters and gathered fruit from the palm trees on sandy beaches.

During a horrendous storm, the villagers all prayed to the Sun God to ease their suffering. They begged from him to bring the glorious weather of the tropics once more. The Sun God, being a selfish immortal, agreed on one condition. After the storm had passed, the first born daughter to the chief must be sacrificed at the top of the island's volcano.

Soon enough the chief's daughter was born. Climbing to the top of the mountainous structure the chief set his newborn on the lip of the volcano and fled. It was not long after that the Sun God arrived and took the child up into the heavens with him. There she grew into a brilliant goddess and became his wife.

The Sun God's wife was unhappy though. Even though she was an immortal, she longed for humanity.

She would often watch over the island from which she had been born, wishing she could be part of that world once more.

In the dead of night, the goddess fled from her palace in the sky. Reaching the earth, she touched ground on the land she had been born to so many years before. Kneeling on the sands of the silky white beaches she did not hear the galloping hoof beats of one the locals. He was a strong and skilled warrior;

the next in line to become chief of his village.

When their eyes met it was an instant spark. Something was building between them. Something neither of them had experienced ever before.

Night after night the goddess fled from her home to be with the warrior. Talking, walking along the sands, playing hide-and-seek amongst the brush, gazing at the stars from the top of the highest mountain peak, or swimming in the salty sea. It didn't matter to the goddess as long as she could be with her warrior. As long as she could be with the man she loved.

It was not long though before the envious sun found out about his wife's nightly disappearances. Too many times he had come home from his trip around the world to find a cold and empty bed. Calling upon his vassals the sun soon set out to find his wench.

Searching far and wide the sun soon came upon his lady. Walking along the sand, immortal and mortal stood starring into each others eyes. They shared a supple kiss.

Breaking out into a fury, the Sun took aim at his wife. Bow and arrow drawn, the flaming fireball consumed the night sky heading straight towards the lovers. Warrior catching sight of the nearing flames, he stood valiantly in front of the goddess taking the angry sun's blows.

Falling to her knees the goddess cried out in anguish. She knew her husband was going to be the cause of her lover's untimely end.

The Sun God pleased with his work took to his wench's side. Begging for mercy the goddess pleaded with her husband to spare the life of her precious warrior. The Sun God, being the selfish immortal he was, agreed upon one condition. He would spare the life of the young warrior ONLY if his wife would agree to become a goddess of the moon. Tears rolling down her cheeks she agreed to her husband's wishes.

Being carted way, the warrior watched helplessly as the only woman he'd ever come to love took to the sky .

~As legend goes, the warrior's ghost waits upon the fraggle rock at sea. Waiting for the full moon to rise. Waiting for his beloved to appear once more.
