Electrical sparks flew as the metalic neon hedgehog stared lifelessly at his organic counterpart. Throughout the years, he had been beaten and broken by the infuriating nuisance known as Sonic, but this time it was going to change. Metal had the two things that Sonic hadn't: Chaos Emeralds and his dear friend Blaze, whom he held by her throat. The cat had squirmed relentlessly before Sonic. The hedgehog had hate in his eyes, hate and fear, both of which Metal relished, especially when projected by his enemies.

The tension stopped when Metal's dead red eyes turned to Blaze. Tears formed in her eyes and she still squirmed. She put up quite a fight, the homicidal robot admitted as he quickly looked at his singed arm, but he had known that she'd give up eventually. Growing tired of her annoying dance of death, he tightened his grip on her neck. Metal glanced at sonic for a quick second and wished he was organic, just so he could grin at both his and Blazes pain. Then, Metal noticed something dark oozing onto his hand. It was the colour of victory, the colour of death, the colour that would make that hedgehog fall into a fit of rage: blood. If he could laugh, he would.

"Metal, you bastard!" The angered, crestfallen hedgehog spat. "Let her go!"

The robotic copy responded with a tighter grip on his friend, which left Blaze gasping for air.

Finally, the organic spine cushion charged at full speed, letting out a large battle cry. He landed a kick into Metal's chestplate which pushed him a mere 2 centimetres. Responding in a quick motion, Metal grabbed his leg with his other hand and flung Sonic behind him, sending him crashing into abandoned behemoths of machinery. Stumbling out of the electronic organs of wires, the cobalt hedgehog held his arm. This was perfect. With just one swoop, Metal had taken out his arm...now if he could take out his legs, that would be even more perfect.

Sonic ran again, sending punches upon punches into his Metal counterpart's face which lasted for at least 3 minutes. The punches were pulled so fast they drew up dust from the floor and Sonic couldn't even see what he was punching anymore. But Metal knew. This...this would destroy him, the robot thought in his database of ones and zeroes. With a final boost of strength in his arm, he choked Blaze and threw her straight at Sonic. The two were tumbling 15 metres away from Metal, with Blaze ending up across Sonic's lap. A couple of seconds later, sonic got up and rubbed his head but suddenly, looked down at his lap and saw her. Blaze, the powerful fire conducting cat who helped save dimensions was now laying on his lap, with death in her eyes and a broken neck.
