Cold and dark as the night itself, Severus Snape had dressed for the nightly occasion. He had a meeting with the most wonderful woman that history would have died to have in its pages. Severus was pacing in front of a large ballroom that had been decorated on account of a friend who had gotten married just days earlier. And now, they were planning the biggest celebration party yet; a ballroom dance contest.

The man stopped his pacing for a mere two seconds to look at his silver pocket watch that he kept hanging from his black belt. Going back to his pacing, he ran a gloved hand through his greased, black hair and watched the crowds of people come in from both sides of the room, women dressed in the finest dresses and men wearing only the finest of suits for such an extraordinary night.

Severus stopped pacing again and smiled as he faced the line up of women and men who were placed on both sides of the room, leaving only a strip of bare marble floor. The women gasped, and the men blushed as a sight of beauty graced them with her presence.

A woman with long locks of golden hair and golden strands that hung in front of her ears; her dress looked to be made of the finest silk any woman could ask for. She wore white, flat heeled shoes that were embroidered with silver flowers and her small smile placed on her lips were like the quarter moon that was present in the night sky.

Severus looked to the woman standing beside him and smiled at her with care. He was not the one getting married but he would have liked to. "Serena. You're the best woman here." The girl known as Serena did not smile at the man's comment and instead, looked to the moon that was visible.

Her eyes saddened at the sight of the moon. "I love the things you do for me, Severus. I just wish…to go back home again." The man placed his strong built hands on Serena's shoulders and kissed her cheek as a gentleman should.

"This world may not be for you, but the least you could do is stay a while. Give it a shot?" The man asked as he looked up at the white moon with Serena, holding her tightly in his arms.

The people in the ballroom, left the couple as they were and went on with the celebration party, starting off with a dance with some old classical music.

For as long as Severus knew Serena, he knew her secret; she was a princess of the moon and had been stranded on Earth just a few months ago. Serena had not meant to tell anyone of her secret but she felt it was right for the man she fell in love with. He was after all, the only person who showed nothing but kindness and wanting to help her go back home. And since everyone she talked to about it, usually laughed in her face.

"Would you miss me, Severus?" The said man twirled Serena around on her toes and made it so that she was facing him, staring into his eyes.

The man simply smiled down at Serena and took her hands in his own and said, "But of course, princess." With this said Serena followed the man out onto the ballroom dance floor and danced the night away with Severus.

If the moon was able to see her this happy, to be spending a magical night with the one person her heart had desired for, perhaps the moon would grant her one wish and leave her where she rightfully belonged; Earth.
