Alright I know I need to work on my other stories but hey when inspiration hits sometime you just can't say no so here is a short little snip of Zutara. I got this from a pic. There is a possibility of you all asking for more but I want to keep this a one shot for now. Well you know the drill I don't own Avatar: Last Airbender but I ship Zutara so enjoy the teaser.
Zuko looked down at the rock he was holding. Throwing it away he stormed off in anger at himself. Two steps later he tuned and went back to retrieve the volcanic stone. Huffing he knew that it was pointless but he wanted to show the girl that hated him so much how much he didn't hate her.
A week later he looked at the finished product. Zuko was unable to believe what he had created with his own two hands. The glossy black stone held a volcano and waves at the bottom. There was even a red and gold choker that he had made himself as well.
Katara watched the waves as they drew in and out calming her as the sun beat down on her exposed skin. Warming it with its touch relaxing her into a place where nothing else existed. A hand made her jump into a defensive position.
She noticed that is was Zuko. "I guess we will never be close. Sorry for bothering you Katara." He said looking to her like a wounded seal pup.
Grabbing out at him she stopped him. "Wait Zuko I am sorry I just didn't think I would be need by anyone. What is it you need?" Katara asked standing.
Zuko blushed making his golden eyes sparkled. "Well it's more of a peace offering. I know that you really love that necklace of yours. And here just take it you can throw it in the sea if you don't like it." He said fast shoving the necklace he had made into one of her hands before running off.
Katara looked down at the thing with wonder. Tracing the pattern for a while as she stood there not knowing what to think of this bold declaration. A hot blush crept up her neck at the thought of Zuko having such strong feelings for her. 'Why in the world would he give me a betrothal necklace as a peace offering though?' Holding onto it she walked back to the beach house hearing her name called.
