To my Dearest Mr. and Mrs. Darcy,
I am so very happy to be writing in accordance to a most happy occasion that being the very holy union that has betrothed you. It is a great honor to see my very own cousin, you Mrs. Darcy, come into great proximity to the most precious bloodlines of thee Lady Catherine de Bourgh.
Although I am sorry to say that Mrs. Darcy did miss the opportunity to be physically in the most proximal location to her Ladyship's honorable. Indeed, Mrs. Darcy did have the opportunity to marry myself and would have also bared this great honor upon me of serving Lady Catherine's happy company. But I should hope dearly to you Mr. and Mrs. Darcy that you should visit Lady Catherine in the near future and call upon Mrs. Collins and myself.
I do know that Lady Catherine has not happily agreed to the marriage upon thus, but shall bring us, the Collins' and the Darcy's that is, greatly closer as a family. I shall assure you that Lady Catherine's great knowledge and dignity shall overcome her opposition to your marriage, and she will be most obliged to have Mrs. Darcy so close to her family.
'Tis very clearly seen that your betrothal is one of great love and passion, and it shall remain strong for the rest of your lives I am sure Mr. and Mrs. Darcy. I should hope it will be a life filled with great honor and times, a healthy family, and a wealth full of love.
This shall not be all that far from the most felicitous marriage and life of Mrs. Collins and myself. We are most clearly meant to be together forever and we are so happily married we can hardly bear to be apart more than a few terrible minutes. We should hope that a most lovely family be upon us soon. That being upon the good health of Mrs. Collins and the propriety of my own self.
I should say, my most humble cousins, that the parish is most pleased with my most recent sermons and the teachings that I've bestowed upon the people to which I preach most honestly. It gives me great pleasure to pass on the truly meaningful and important life lessons that Lady Catherine has discovered and passed along and I shall bring to the people. It is greatly honorable to be able to bring class and education to the good people of the area. They also appreciate the direct connection and relationship I share with them to Lady Catherine, and find it most honorable should I pass along her own learning's to the unlearned people of this world.
At this very moment her Ladyship resides in London visiting some other acquaintances. I should not find it unusual that her Ladyship's great honor and manner should guide her to Pemberly to call upon thus. Her most unruly and rude behavior at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bennets is understandable and most forgotten upon her soon approval of thine own marriage.
I shall wish you a great and happy marriage, I am most confident it will be forever well off. Also that your shall have a healthy family and a humble home. It is again so lovely that you my cousin, Mrs. Darcy should have the truly amazing honor of bring the Bennet family closer to both Lady Catherine and her family, and also to us, the Collins', your close friends. Mrs. Collins sends her love and well wishes, and also her approval and excitement at the marriage. We should happily hope to see you in the near future as a great friendship shall occur between the Darcy's, the Collins', and Lady Catherine I am sure. Humbly and happily yours,
William Collins
