Author Notes: Oh gosh, I can't believe I just wrote this! Well, actually I can because here it is! But ugh! Nami seems kind of OOC, my fault. But I really wanted to establish this 'unrequited love' feeling to it. This is my first fic btw, and it's a mini drabble thing. I'm thinking about doing one for Sanji too hur hur hur I just realized how hard it is to write fanfics. DANG! It took me freaking three hours to write this tiny little thing! *faint* Goodness, I now understand how intense this stuff is. Anyway, I digress. But, it didn't turn out how I'd imagined it, but I guess I don't know my writing style o.o Haha, sorry this note thing is so long

Disclaimers: I will never own One Piece ever. Only Oda owns it

No Love for a Pirate

by Elcie Laurel

She was horrified to find him in her mikan grove, fingers oranged and cheeks full. But she let him go with a glare and then a smack on the head.

When she was interupted from her mapmaking because of him, yelling and making the ship shudder from his rough housing, she simply shouted at him to shut up, and went back to what she was doing.

He fell overboard again, because of a mystery fish below the surface of the water. She panicked slightly but relaxed when the swordsman brought him back up. Then, she scolded and hit him. After she had retreated to the women's quarter, she couldn't help but smile at his stupidity.

Sitting on the Thousand Sunny's figure head, the rubber boy- man, was in a calm trance, eyes cast out beyond the horizon. It mystified her how her captain could be so opposite his usual self sometimes. Her throat itched, wanting to call out his name, but she didn't want to disturb him either. A blush crept across her skin when he turned around and smiled at her. She reddened more when he said her name.

"Nami," his familiar voice called out to her.

"Luffy," she replied, trying to keep her emotions from her voice. His smile grew wider and she felt the corners of her mouth tug up. Her eyes flew to something on his chest she didn't remember being there two years ago. A large, rough, X-shaped scar was splayed in the middle of his chest and her eyes lingered there for awhile. She caught herself.

Nami hadn't seen her captain in two years. During those two years, Luffy had definitiely grown up. Matured. He was the same, yet different. There was his clothes, the scar. A strange sadness in his eyes, Nami guessed from his brother's death. And an overwhelming happiness on his face as he looked at her. Now she wished she had stayed the same. She wished her hair was shorter, her body less busty, her clothes less revealing. Oh hell-

Her wishes were squished as she felt his arms around her, chest against her and head on her shoulder. Nami's eyes widened from Luffy's suprise hug.

"I missed you!" he cried. He let out a loud laugh and Nami giggled too. She placed her hands lightly on her rubber captain's back. Luffy squeezed her and Nami laughed, then tightened her grip around him as well.

"Ah, Zoro!" Luffy shouted as he saw the swordsman. Nami was left hanging onto air as Luffy bounded over to the firstmate, embracing him in a great bear hug. The same happened as Luffy saw his crewmates, each one getting a hug. Nami exhaled, her breath shaking a little. Luffy will be Luffy. Nami will continue to feel this way, just like two years ago. She will continue to love him, and he will continue to love everyone. Equally. As family. Nakama. Not the way that Nami wished, Nami craved.

There will be no love for a pirate.
