"NO!" she screamed when the shots rang out.

She saw him fall to the ground and she raced towards him.

"Tony!" she cried, shaking him gently. "Please wake up, it's Ziva. Please!"

But he just lay there, the gunshot wound still bleeding.

"Tony?" she asked weakly. "Please!"

Where was Gibbs? Why hadn't he been here to save them?

The assailants had run after they shot him, she had no idea where they could have gone, but she didn't care either. At this moment, she wanted to die.

Tears streamed down her face, she could feel no pulse, not see his chest move, not hear a heartbeat.

"Please, you can't leave me here, I love you! Please!"

But there was nothing.

Nothing at all.

Just the horrible silence and her, afraid to leave Tony's side, crying.

The door opened and she heard the shout. "N.C.I.S." but they were too late.

Much too late.

She picked up the gun the rested beside Tony, put it to her head and pulled the trigger.

She could not live without him. And so she wouldn't.
