Prologue: In Memorium
A/N: Yeah, I have no idea. I've had a Marriage Law fic idea in my head for days, and this is what we are pushing out. I am so tired of the cliche Severus and Hermione, so I brought in my own OC. Anywhat, I hope you enjoy.
SUMMARY: 'You were just like the moon. So lonely, so of full imperfections. But just like the moon, You always shined in times of darkness.' Romeo and Juliet is a love story to behold, but they never had a thing on Severus and Kiliani (Kil-an-e). Sometimes, love really does conquer all.

Devoted Husband, Loving Father, Fierce Friend
You were just like the moon.
So lonely, so full of imperfections.
But just like the moon,
You always shined in times of darkness.
Do you remember how we met, Dear Husband? I do. I hated you twice as much as you hated me, I am sure. Fresh into seventeen, with a world of possibilities ahead, and the Ministry issues a decree that all single witches and wizards are to be paired off and married, with no consideration for age or beauty in the matches made. Imagine the horror I felt at knowing my husband was well old enough to be my father. It was quiet extreme I assure you. Had I known then what I know now...I would have treasured our few short years together.
I could not know at such a still tender age that I would grow to love you more than life itself, and that in your eternal absence, I would be irrevocably changed. Though our children remain, they are little more than a painful reminder of what I have lost, and what I shall never have again. You. Ten years with you has by no means prepared me for the next one hundred or more with you gone. It is sometimes hard to believe that at just twenty-seven I am the widowed mother of two beautiful children. What am I to do Severus? Though we are comfortable in the life you provided for us, I am painfully lonely, and Kaylen and Josiah are without their father.
What am I to tell them my love? Josiah cries for you, and at four, he is to young to understand that you have passed through the Veil. And sweet Kaylen, she will always be too young to remember the father she once had. You will only ever be a photograph for her, a memory just barely there and too faint to ever truely recall...
