Disclaimer: I don't own Avatar: the Last Airbender, the Legend of Korra, or the song "Sadly a Fiction" by the Blues Travelers.

She isn't real
No, I've never met her
Simply a hope, perchance to dream
Ah but still, I can't forget her
Hope springs eternal it would seem
Sadly a Fiction-Blues Travelers

Mako knew something interesting was going to happen as soon as he caught a glimpse of the Triple Threat Triad's sotomobile. He sunk back into the shadows, waiting until they passed and he could walk by without being noticed. He wouldn't get involved; he'd just stay here and wait it out. Even when he knew things were about to get ugly, he stayed hidden.
Just as he was about to jump out and help the poor phonograph shop owner, he didn't have to. He might not have been able to if he'd wanted to - the girl who jumped in and was trying to talk with the triad was so beautiful and so confident that it startled him into silence. She fought so gracefully and...Was that water and fire bending? And earth? She couldn't have been real...maybe things got ugly and he was hit with debris...this wasn't happening.
But it was, and the beautiful, powerful girl who Mako now knew was the avatar had won. She was evading the police now, and was soon out of his sight, but far from out of his mind.
She stayed with him all of the rest of the way to the arena where he and his brother lived. He couldn't stop thinking about her. She wasn't even really real - not to him at least - but that didn't mean he couldn't think about her. It was like when he'd had a crush on one of the Red Sands Rabbaroos - she had no idea who he was, he'd never met her, but she was real enough for him to practically love her.
It didn't matter. Because this time, something was different. He felt like, though he didn't know her now, he would know her later. He hoped so.
He hoped he wasn't just dreaming. He made a decision to do all he could to meet the wonderful, fictional girl, and would go through with it with all he had.

Did you see the episode today? OH MY GOSH. I love Asami and definitely have a newfound respect for her after today, but gah...I hardly know what to ship anymore! Makorra, Borra, Tahorra... What do I dooooooo?
Anyways, I've been stuck on this song for the past few days. Leave a review if you get the chance! They mean a lot to me. ^^
PS, do you think that, since they brought Tahno back in today's episode, albeit for a short little encounter, that he'll be a recurring character? I hope so. I frigging love that guy, for no reason I can see.
Anyways, bye now! ^^
