Hey! This is the first story that I wrote on this fandom. There will be no Click or Nuke in here because it wouldn't fit with the flow of the story (at all) and because I WANT NICK ALL TO MYSELF! But this is a Birthday present to my best friend, The Huanna, The Ultimate Unicorn, the Joy to my Faith, the Clyde to my Bonnie, the Bert to my Ernie, the MOLLY to my EMMA...

PEANUTFANGIRL! Her birthday is April 18, so wish her a Happy Birthday!

Clem's POV

When I opened my eyes there was a blur right in front of me, blocking most of my sight. As soon as I opened my eyes wide, I heard a gasp then the blur quickly retracted itself. I heard soft, fast footsteps as I oriented myself. I sat up and winched at the pain from my arm.

"I need a doc-" was all I managed to say when someone threw a rock at me with a scared yell.

"You could've hit her!" the older man from earlier said, smacking a boy younger than my upside the head.

Then the other man from earlier ran out side, "Whoa! Whoa! What the f #$?!"

"You idiot!" the pregnant black lady said, "Every lurker for five miles probably heard that!"

"I…I" the boy stammered.

"Everyone just calm down for a second!" the black man said.

"Clementine, you okay…?" the younger man from earlier asked. At this point the boy looked chastened. I honestly thought he might start crying.

"I just need a doctor… and then... then I'll go. I don't want my arm to get infected," I said, hoping that they'll just let me go.

The boy seemed to get his courage back, "None of us want to get infected. That's the point." He was scared, but I was getting angry at this point. If I was gonna turn, I would want to die.

"We've got a doctor right here, okay. He'll have a look," the young man said. I saw an Indian man walk over here. "Now what the hell is wrong with you people?! Okay, she's just scared!" the young man said again. I was glad that someone was on my side.

Line break!

Nick's POV

I looked at the girl. She looked like she was older than me. I didn't like it how everyone was mad at me. I was just scared! I didn't want her to bite any of these guys. They're all I have left!

Rebecca started going off on Luke. I decided to put what was on my mind out there.

"No way she survived out here on her own!" I said, not saying what I was actually thinking about, that I wouldn't survive out here on my own. "Why are we even arguing about this?!" I yelled, frustrated and scared.

Carlos came through to take a look. She pulled up her sleeve, the bite looked painful. Now that I saw it, it did look like a dog bite.

I went up to Luke. "If it is a lurker, put her down. I can't…" I told him. I can't lose them. They're my family now.

Everyone started talking at once as soon as Uncle Pete mentioned cutting her arm off. I kept quiet through out the exchange. I didn't want it to come to that but… It could save her life.

I saw Sarah peek out. I moved to take inside if need be. Carlos told her to go inside and she did. I relaxed, I didn't want to have to spend more time with her then necessary.

Everyone started talking. I kept quiet as they were talking over my head. Carlos said he didn't know if it was a lurker or a dog or what, so me and Luke started to escort her to the shed.

Uncle Pete handed me a knife saying, "Be careful with that, son." I was livid.

"I ain't your son!" I said, it had hit a chord.

"Don't be like that, man," Luke said. He never liked it when me and Uncle Pete fight.

"It's alright. Boy's got his mom's temper," Uncle Pete said. It took a lot of will power to not break down crying.

Luke and the girl chatted it up while I brought up the rear. We left her in the shed.

I went into my room, skirting Sarah, and threw myself on my bed in me and Luke's room.

I cried.
