Perfect Disagreement

The slam of the door

echoed

around the silent space.

Her words rang

in his ears.

His breathing

finally

began to steady,

But his thoughts

continued like rapid fire bullets.

Was it strange that he

relished

their arguments?

He hated arguments, at least

with everyone else.

But then again,

she wasn't like the others.

She was strong, passionate,

she would never give up,

not without a fight.

Perhaps that was why.

It showed someone actually

cared.

She cared about finding

justice,

discovering the

truth,

providing closure.

She was different

from the

boring

everyday

dull

mundaneness

of his job,

of his life, and

he loved her for that.
