Seamus felt numb inside, outside and all over. He wouldn't let anyone come near him, but the pained look on his face didn't exactly make them want to in the first place. They already knew he couldn't be comforted. He was laying next to her, on the ground, wishing he could turn back time. He really hated werewolves.

Lavender's hair was around her head in a brown cloud, as it always was. They had covered up the part of her stomach where she was bitten to death, strategically placing her hand on the wound. but her blood was still inching across the floor. Her hand and her torso were stained crimson. There was no longer any blood gushing out because dead people didn't bleed. It seemed a bit cruel to cover the bite, in Seamus' opinion. It diminished her part in the battle. She looked as though she could just be taking a nap.

Oh, how Seamus wished he could nap with her.

Seamus pondered how death felt. It couldn't be that bad. It seemed fine to him. If he could see Lavender again, then it would be way more than fine. He didn't think that death would make much of a difference; he felt numb anyway, without her.

He missed her already.
