"Children!" called Mother. "It's time to get up!"
I got up and dressed myself for the day and followed Rebekah outside our room to the kitchen. We only had three rooms in our house. Our room, their room and the kitchen. I sat beside Rebekah and we prayed for our food. I began to eat my breakfast while mother talked to us.
"Children today I want you kids to go to the Northern Village. I want you to pick up some bread. We are running low on bread and I also need you to go pick up some chamomile from Samantha. Rebekah I am going to need your help to make lunch."
"But Mother I helped yesterday."
"Just do as your mother says." Father grumbled.
I finished my breakfast as Father left the house. I kissed my sister on the cheek and whispered to her "Wait for me. I'll pick you up."
I set Speedy Star for a ride and walked him out of the stables. I got on and began the ride to Crystals' village. When we got there we saw a huge crowd of people and they were dancing and partying. We made our way through the crowd and to the store and bought what we needed and Elijah collected the herbs.
I snuck home and went inside. "Rebekah?" I whispered.
"What?" she asked.
"Get out here." I said. She did after looking around for mom. "What do you want Nik?"
"Come with me. I got your horse set up already." I said and led her to the stables. We would have to be quick if we were to succeed in getting her away from home. She got on her horse and I led her away and to the party. Besides she loved great parties. Kol was staying at the party anyway so what would be the harm in us joining?
We got back to the party and I tied up Star and led her to the center of the party. She left to go have fun, she'd spotted Kyle. I was jumped by someone. I was about to get angry when familiar blonde hair and blue eyes caught my eye.
"Crystal?"
"Hey Nik. Want to join the party?"
"What's going on here Crystalia?"
"Come. I'll show you." She said and led me to the front of the crowd. There was a woman holding a sleeping baby. I was wondering how the baby could sleep through such loud noises when Crystal said something.
"I'm sorry. What did you say?" I asked, feeling guilty.
"I said that the chief just gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Do you want to go see the baby?" She asked, however she was already taking us up on stage. I had no choice in the matter. "Hello Irenea. My name is Crystal and this is Niklaus. Can we say hi to the baby?"
"Of course. Just don't get too rough now." She said and handed the baby to Crystal who immediately gave it to me. I held the baby away from me and Crystal taught me how to hold the baby. She gave the baby back to the mom. I was being led down to the crowd. We kept going until we reached the back of the crowd. She leaned me against a tree. I felt nervous because something was telling me something bad was going to happen. Like an intuition of sorts.
"You'll make a wonderful daddy one day Niklaus. I was thinking that maybe we could have children. What do you think? Are we going to have children?" she asked, trying to sound seductive.
I suddenly heard someone call her name. I felt kind of relieved that I didn't exactly have to say yes to that so soon. Yes I loved her but I thought I was too young for kids. I was still practically a kid. She turned around and she was shaking. I hugged her from behind and she shoved me off.
"It's my dad Nik. Go hide."
"I'm not afraid of him. I'll kick his ass."
"No Niky he hates you. I don't want you in danger."
"I laugh in the face of danger." I growled playfully. She was about to push me away when I saw him. Charles. He seemed happy to see me. He didn't know who I was yet.
"Who is your friend Crys?" he asked.
I smiled and held my hand out for him. She'd have to play this cool. "This is Lawrence from the Northern village. He frowned like he knew he was being lied to. I quickly spoke up.
"Nice to meet you. The names' Klaus." Crys looked at me like I said the wrong thing. I suddenly realized why too. Charles grabbed hold of my scruff and held me up off the floor.
"No Daddy! Stop it. You'll hurt him."
"You and I will speak later Crystal. You're Mikael's boy aren't you?" he said.
"That I am but I can be a real gentleman."
He raised his hand into a fist and prepared to punch me. However that was when I heard Mikael. "DROP MY SON." He did and Crystal grabbed my hand and we ran. I untied Star, helped her up and got on myself. We ran so far that in just a few minutes we no longer knew where we were. But I could tell we were being chased by something, something dangerous.
Star could sense it too. I know b3ecause he got scared into a gallop and turned every which way and we were more lost than ever. Suddenly things were happening in slow motion for me. A wolf jumped out of the bushes and there three others, one to each side. Speedy neighed and threw his front legs into the air, causing the reins to get caught in the branches and there were more wolves coming like one or two. We fell off Star and I picked up a stick ready to fight them with that and resenting the fact I had not decided to bring my sword. We were finished.
I held the stick up and a grey wolf ran at me, I swung at it, backing Crystal up against a tree. At least I would die protecting my loved one. I succeeded in hitting it and it flew against a tree but then multiple wolves came at me.
Then everything sped up again to normal speed. Another blonde wolf jumped out from the bush and fought the wolves to the ground before they could even touch me. The wolves all seemed confused as to what they were supposed to do. I tried to whack the blonde wolf but it grabbed the end and didn't let go. Instead it stared calmly at me.
The look of knowledge scared me and I dropped the stick and it threw it to the other side and growled at the other wolves. They seemed to hold their tails in between their legs and walk off. The blonde wolf however turned to us and watched me. I gulped ready to fight it with my bare hands. It got down on its front legs and lowered its ears and scooted up to me, whimpering.
I looked to Crystal and she was still terrified. I reached my hand out to touch the wolf and it seemed to purr with delight. It even looked like it was smiling at me. He got up and approached the horse the same exact way. The horse calmed down and stood there. Deciding whether or not it needed to fight for its life.
The wolf climbed a tree and untangled the reins from the branch and headed over to me with them. I reached my hands out for them and he dropped them in my hand. I pet the wolf. It wasn't acting dangerous at all. In fact it was being quite helpful. I reached my arms out to try and hug the wolf for saving us, Crystal cried out to be careful but the wolf just stared at me with those loving eyes of his. I hugged the wolf and I was very likely going to name the wolf when it sort of hugged me back but I could tell it was.
Whatever my parents said about wolves was all a lie. Wolves weren't murderous creatures. They were very intelligent creatures with different personalities. Soon the wolf was backing away from me and headed home. I helped Crystal get back on Star and started walking the other way. Wolves lived deep in the woods. Not on the outskirts so I needed to go the other way.
However the wolf was in my path, barking at me. I turned around and he seemed to be happy. He looked like he was giving a huge effort to try and communicate with us. So we followed him out of the woods until we could hear Mikael calling for us. Crystal took Star out of the woods, eager to be free. I however, felt sad like I was leaving a loved one behind.
I stared at the wolf. It was drawing lines in the sand. I knelt down to see what it was drawing and found instead of a picture, words were forming. It looked like, because wolves definitely cannot write, it read: Blonde wolf= Tyler, Tyler= Father, Father= son, son= Niklaus, Niklaus= you. I stared at the wolf and then tried to erase the weird words but it growled at me and nodded at the words.
"What are you saying? That you are my father?" I asked.
"Yes." I felt astounded and he looked happy, like he finally talked to me. "Niklaus I am your father and you will be seeing me again soon. I feel it on the wind. We will meet many times in your life. I will look forward to the next time I see you, my son." He rubbed his head against my chest. I hugged him and heard Mikael call again. "You must go. Remember the name. Tyler. If ever you have need or are in danger the wolves will know what to do. They always do." He said and bounded off into the forest. I stared after him and before Mikael could see I cleared the words from the sand.
"Niklaus! Come out and you will not be in trouble!" He called. I ran toward his voice and he embraced me. "Let's go home before you do end up in trouble. You were supposed to be home hours upon hours ago. Thank you for doing what you were told for once." He said and put me on Star and walked us home. I stared after path that the wolf took. Wondering if we ever were to meet again.
(Tyler Wolf Point)
I couldn't believe it. I'd just seen my son for the first time in years. My Alpha sense was telling me that the next time we met I was going to be in human form but that yes something would be wrong, but maybe that meant with my wolf pack. Nothing could be wrong with my son. Then again I did just save him from members of the Akatai wolf clan. My Alpha senses were the only thing that helped me get there in time to save him from being mauled.
I headed back to my own father Ishaan and stood by his side. He was giving us a speech about how lately there have been kids playing in the forest. I would never tell him but I knew exactly which kids were playing in the forest.
"Tyler just stopped a group of wolves sire. Why don't we ask him?" asked Harold. He smirked at me. He was very protective of the forest that we lived in. He had been there and he was very picky when being forced to stop fighting, which of course to no surprise, was his favorite thing to do. My father turned to me and I had to explain myself to the clan now.
"They almost killed my son, Father." I whispered to him and he pardoned me but whispered that he wanted an exact recount of the events that happened. As a wolf you learn to have long term memory so that you will never forget something like that. Events were the very thing that we needed to learn but for me, being the prince of the clan I needed to remember events in the past and historic events as well.
- I hope that you guys like this chapter. I warn you though that sometimes there is going to be spanking in these short stories. These are supposed to depict Niklaus with his real Father. Tell me if you like.
