Be careful what you wish for
Jack sighed gazing up at the deep blue sky from the top of one of the tower blocks in Cardiff. Jacks face was being lit up by the full moon as the wind played with his brown hair and tugged at his thin body drawing him to the centre of the roof. He lay down on the roof still staring up at the stars, this was one of the paces he came to think, the height helped clear his head.
When he was little Jack wanted to live forever, to heal after every cut or bruise inflicted on him and to be a hero. He had even wished for that on every one of his birthdays until he became a teen when another wish was added to his list, to have the perfect body and for every species and gender out there in the universe would fancy him. When he joined the time agency he abandoned the idea of being a hero but still wanted to be immortal and to have the perfect look but another wish accompanied those wishes, Jack now wanted to find his brother Grey more than anything. These where things he prayed and wished for whenever he saw a shooting star, or found an eyelash or when it came to one of his birthdays
Jack snorted sitting up and running a hand through his tussled brown hair, he had gotten what he wished for. He was immortal, he healed after every cut, he had a perfect body that people drooled over and he had found his brother Grey. Now all he wanted was to be mortal, for the 456 never too have happened, for Ianto and Stephan to be alive and for Grey to forgive him.
Jack sighed once again and hauled himself up so he was standing and glanced up at the night sky one last time before leaving for home. Jack smiled as a star fell through the sky seaming to leave a trail of light behind it and whispered "Be careful what you wish for."
