Summary: Palolo II didn't get many days off, but when he did… Palolo II –centric. No pairings.
BKO isn't mine, no matter how much I wish for BK3.
Thank you for reading.
It was a sunny day in the streets of Pherkad. The sun was bright on the road and the children ran with glee. On the terrace of a rather extravagant house was a red haired teen on the rails. He had grown a bit taller, but his hair stayed the same as always.
He cracked a smile at the young kids running around. He turned his head briefly to look at the letter on his chair. He wondered how the two were doing with their kid. The redhead shook his head lightly, and rolled his eyes comically. Somehow, he had become the messanger boy between Sagi and his family. To be honest, he knew that it was only to keep Palolo from slacking around… although, Palolo would are not lose his title, so Sagi shouldn't have been worried.
He snickered lightly as he sent out a flare into the sky for the kids' amusement. It was simple magic, and it didn't take much effort, unlike… persay, flashing from continent to continent. Yet, Sagi insisted on sending him the letters.
How he even found out the redhead's address, he'd never know. Palolo didn't really want to know anyway. Sagi was a mysterious guy.
Well, might as well get it over with. Palolo stood up straight, and took a light stroll to the chair. He plucked the letter up with care, intent on keeping it in pristine condition, and focused briefly on Hassaleh. He felt himself grow light, and he was whisked away by his whirlwind of leaves.
When he opened his eyes, he found himself facing the crumbling Briar Tower. The children swarmed out from Gena's orphanage, rushing towards him. He was never good with children, but they liked him… for some reason he'd never understand.
"Sup kids!" Palolo II spoke with his famous lopsided grin.
"Uncle Palolo!" Tik greeted brightly.
He chuckled at the name. Somehow, he had become the surrogate uncle for all these kids. He didn't quite understand how that worked, but there wasn't much to ponder anyway. He got free food, a family, and fun. Besides, it was nice to have a parent that actually cared for once.
"C'mon kids, inside we go." He ushered the kids back into the house.
As he entered, he gave a wave to Gena, before handing her the letter. He gave her a knowing smile, before walking back out.
The redhead could almost hear the letter being spoken, but that part wasn't for him. It was just for Gena's eyes, and for the kids' eyes.
He did, however, have his own part.
"Dear Palolo,
Thanks for being our messenger boy! You really should come visit! Mira is a beautiful place.
Maybe you should bring Lolo around!
(To be fair, he could almost hear Sagi and Milly laughing.)
But honestly, come visit. I'm sure King Ladekahn is working a bit too hard, and I'm sure Melodia would love to see her god-uncle. Anyway, I hope you aren't slacking!
Your friends,
Sagi and Milly."
It was nice of them to send him a letter too. After all, he didn't get much contact with the others after they all grew up. Kahn became King, and Gib became a knight… Sagi and Milly eloped. But, that was cool. Palolo never liked being tied down like that. He'd let the rest of them be the leaders, whilst he flew on, free, like the leaves and the wind.
