The night after rescuing Lloyd was silent, no one talked. Even though they had got him back, it killed the joy that he was the green ninja. Finally after dinner everyone sat in the game room and Lloyd decided to speak...
"Dad?" Lloyd looked over at his much taller father. "Are you proud of me?"
Sensei Wu decided this should be just Garmadon and his son, "maybe we should leave." Sensei Wu left the room and signaled for the other ninja to follow.
"What do you mean." The Lord of the underworld didn't get where this was coming from.
"Even though I'm," he paused for a moment, "the green ninja, are you still proud of me, or were you ever proud of me."
"Of course." Garmadon laughed at his sons question but then stopped seeing his sad expression didn't change. "Uh, I mean why do you ask?"
"Because if I was the greatest villain of all time and my son was going to turn out to be the biggest 'good guy' ever, I'd be ashamed. " He held his face with his hands.
"Well I'm not you and really, I don't want you to be evil." Lloyd looked up with a confused look on his face. "Lloyd do you know what I prayed for every day since you were born?"
"What?" The future green ninja sat up more.
"That you wouldn't be like me, you wouldn't be evil." He got up and sat next to his blonde son.
"Why?" Lloyd shook his head.
"Because it's terrible, everyone hates you, you're an outcast, and you never get to see your family." He sighed.
"I never get to see my family." Lloyd closed his emerald green eyes.
"I know and I'm sorry for that." He tried to comfort Lloyd.
"I wish I could have at least known everybody! " He raised his arms in the air.
"What do you mean?" Garmadon wondered where this was going since he knew him and his uncle, and was bound to know Misako, she was his mother after all.
"I never met mom." He let a tear slip.
"You didn't?" Garmadon was surprised his son never met her or at least didn't remember her.
"No, she dropped me off at Darkleys when I was around four." He pulled the blanket wrapped around his small body up to his chest.
"Why would she do that?" He said under his breath because it was more a thought than it was a statement.
"I don't know." To Garmadons surprise he heard him.
"Look Lloyd, I'm not sure why Misa- your mother would leave you." He didn't want to give away her name, so as of now it was just mom.
"I wish I knew, did she hate me or something." The corners of his mouth were tugged down in a frown.
"No! Lloyd she loved you!" He almost lost it when Lloyd said Misako hated him.
"Then why'd she abandon me!" He yelled at his dad.
"I don't know son." He tried to calm down. "But she was so happy when you were born, almost as happy as I was."
"Really?" Lloyd didn't believe the older man.
"Really, she was so happy she cried." He thought back to the memory. "Lloyd your mother has a reason for everything she does, I have a feeling you'll see her someday."
"I hope so." The blonde started to yawn.
"You tired?" He saw Lloyd barely able to keep his eyes open.
"Ya." He leaned against his dad.
"Well go to sleep, you've earned a goods nights rest." He smiled down at his son who was already out like a light. "Sweet dreams."
