The Trials of Doraemon

Sewashi Nobi orders Doraemon to help his family in house chores, with Dorami relegated to taking care of Sewashi Nobi's aging parents.

Doraemon objects, saying that his purpose is more suited to be a babysitter.

Sewashi, realising this, thought, yeah, we intentionally ordered the wrong robot for this job due to financial reasons (getting a smart house is much, much more expensive). Sewashi then asked Doraemon to reconsider that, by sending Doraemon to a 'memory chamber', in which a very realistic simulator, coupled with huge amounts of computer resource, and having a huge database of all things humanity, complete with full-bodied illusion and VR to boot, to transport Doraemon to the past, in which the memory of thoughts and actions Nobita Nobi is stored with others in a garagntuan memorial project, celebrating lives past.

Doraemon, as usual, goes out of the 'time portal' by that Nobita's desk. Nobita is stupefied, as usual, and goes to meet Doraemon. Nobita wonders if Doraemon, that stanger from outer what-not, can converse with his parents, who may as well be surprised by that robot from the future. Doraemon says 'go for it', and Nobita introduces Doraemon to his parents. His mom says, "Hey, where did you get the toy?". Doraemon whispers to Nobita, and Nobita says, "Well, he comes from the dumpster. Someone did not need it, so Doraemon said "Help, help" and we together come back home.". Right away, his mom loved the story, although his father felt that the story is wonky, and having expressed this to his son, Nobita, and his wife, he decided that since Doraemon is considered 'living' (now, they used language-manners specific to 'living entities'), his father decided not to scrunitise any further and they accepted Doraemon as a part of their family.

Throughout Doraemon's adventures with Nobita, Nobita is seen as childish, paranoid, foolish but steadfast boy.

Doraemon gave every help he could.

At last, Nobita had to face reality. His father is going to retire. Nobita had no choice. Nobita asks Doraemon how he can increase grades. Doraemon says he has no choice but to 'git gud'. So, Nobita asks Doraemon if he could borrow... Doraemon says, "No!" Nobita asks why and Doraemon says, "I have failed my job if you cheat. Also, you should do better than being a con man. You want to be nothing but a con man in the future? You wanna lose Shizuka?" Nobita startled.

At last, Nobita 'git gud', slowly but surely. Doraemon can see it like how Doraemon sees plants growing slowly day by day. Doreaemon often said, "There, there, keep it up! Keep it up!". So he studied, all the way, just because of Shizuka.

Nobita got good grades, and Shizuka says congrats. To be honest, that's what Nobita wanted all along. Nobita said to Doraemon that he is going to continue to study with Shizuka with him and asks Doraemon to still study with him. Doraemon then realises Sewashi is still in that miserable existence, figuring out original Nobita's debt while this artificial Nobita lends his hand to go in more imaginary adventures with him. Doraemon said, "Enough with this." Nobita said, "Why?" Doraemon said, "I need to settle my own debt. Can you promise me that you will take care of Shizuka?" Nobita said, "I don't know... but since you're going... I promise to myself!" Doraemon said, "Good for you!" So he turned off his pod in that collective virtual reality memorial chamber machine and walked back to Sewashi's house.

Sewashi was down. Doraemon instantly recognises Sewashi's despairness, and he gave him a glass of mango juice. Sewashi said, "Thanks, Doraemon." Doraemon said, "No, don't sweat it. We can settle the debt in time!" Sewashi said, "Aw, if only if it were true." Doraemon said, "No, there's a way!" Seawshi said, "True, Doraemon, really true. I should have put more faith in my destiny." Sewashi drink the juice passively while wondering about his next action in life.

The End.
