Hope

A desperate voice calls out,

Never trully believing that someone would hear.

For so much pain had been inflicted on one

So innocent and pure

Another soul,

Just as lonely hears the heartfelt cry.

He too had once believed that his life

Would forever be lived in fear and ruled by pain.

But he had learned that there was hope and happiness

In each passing day

Even if it became overshadowed by clouds and rain.

In understanding he reached out,

To the lost one crouched in the shadows.

Giving a ray of hope and a place of happiness

In his ever welcoming arms
