Socks

Brennan had never understood Booth's strange need to display his control by wearing his multicolored socks. But when she came home to find him on the floor with Christine, the two of them wearing matching socks, she was fairly certain it became one of her favorite things about him.

Alpha

Booth could be bossy...controlling...demanding. But when Brennan watched him give advice to Hodgins, listen to Angela talk about her life, talk to Cam about the cases and occasionally give one of her interns a hard time, she figured that maybe having that Alpha Male complex wasn't the worst thing about him.

Catching

She rarely admitted it, but there had once been a time when Brennan was afraid of her relationship with Booth. And not because of Booth, but because of the emotions her made her feel. And more than once, she ran from those feelings. Now she only ran because she knew he'd always catch her.

Jealous

Booth had never been a jealous guy until Brennan started coming around. Correction: Booth had never been a jealous guy until guys started coming around Brennan.

Abuse

They both knew who was the Brain and who was the Brawn of their relationship. And while Booth never raised a hand to Brennan, in an argument Brennan had a tendency to lash out with large words and in-depth details as to why he was wrong. It wasn't until Angela pulled Brennan aside after a fight one day did the doctor realize that sometimes verbal abuse had a deeper affect that physical.

Apologies

When it came to pride, Booth and Brennan were an even match. And though it was hard, they still managed to force out a genuine apology when it was needed.

Hands

Brennan had always understood why people felt the need to hold hands in public, and she'd always done it in the past with ex-lovers. But when Booth took her hand for the first time, she suddenly understand it in a way that not even science could explain. And she hated how much she loved it.

Watching

They fought sometimes and there were times she didn't speak to him for days. That never stopped him from parking his SUV outside her house and making sure she got home okay.

Robot

Booth had been mad! She had been pushing his buttons, making him feel stupid and insignificant. He hadn't meant to call her a robot. He hadn't meant to make her cry.

Laughter

Brennan's genuine, head thrown back, arms wrapped around her stomach because her muscles hurt so bad laugh was beautiful. It made her blue eyes sparkle with tears cause by humor. It made her face flush a soft glowing pink. It made him fall in love with her again and again.

Patience

Booth wasn't known for his calm personality or ability to sit patiently. But when it came to Bones, he'd wait a lifetime if she asked.

Heart

When he dropped to his knee and pulled out a ring, she didn't let her mind do the deciding. Her heart is what caused her to tackle him to the ground and whisper a desperate yes against his lips.
