My Heart is a Library in the Mountain of the King
Germany thinks he's stalking his brother so that he could take advantage of that Ostalgie whenever it surfaced. Germany is wrong. He merely has spies keeping tabs on his borders. Prussia comes on his own.
He likes that Prussia is something like a friend now, even though Prussia hates him very much. When Prussia comes over and he is free (because, after all, he is a country, and he has his duties still, even if Prussia does not), they go drinking together and reminisce about the good old Soviet days, which were really only good because they were old and getting further away. Three could share vodka, but two was still better than one, and it makes him feel a little… wanted.
They don't meet as often as Germany thinks, because he's usually too busy with more important things. Germany should know: one of Prussia's pet topics when they've both drunk a share and a half of vodka each was how fucking busy his little brother was, too fucking busy to have time for him. He likes hearing about it, about these things that Prussia would not mention to the rest of the world, things Prussia would not even record in his journals. It makes him feel a little… special.
So, when he receives the text on the 13th day, from the unknown number he always gets his information from, he tries his best to rearrange his schedule so that he could drop by.
'The eagle has landed in the mountain of the king.'
