Moonlight's Tears
Moonlight's tears below the sky
Black as his heart and cold as his love
I whisper to the angels crying above
The angels crying for his eternal damnation
The angels praying for his soul's release
I whisper to them
Beg for the beauty of a miracle
To bring him light and warmth again
Bring him life
And as I beg for him
I beg for me
For our lives no longer separate
But twined in a single ribbon of ebony silk
Woven together, so inescapable
He has dragged me into darkness
Half of what is my own is yet his
Without him I am torn in two
Half a soul
Eating and sleeping-they are optional to me
As I search for half of my soul
Half of my heart
And the whole of my life
My tears mix with the moon's
The white crescent burning eerily above
Offering him a chance
A chance to die tonight
And he will
My heart, my life stands before me
His soul will release tonight
As we stand beneath the moonlight's tears
He will die in life or die in death, but either prayer,
My life will die tonight.
