Through the city, all seemed calm that night. Little did I suspect that a terror greater than any other was plaguing the city, a plague caused by the Umbrella Corporation. Never would I think it, "not good ole Umbrella" I would say. Not a sound was heard about the city, an eerie calm overtaking it all. I ride into the Diner parking lot and enter inside. Then, I see it. The beast hunched over the body of another being, eating it like a wild animal. It turns toward me and from its lips comes a low guttural groan a groan of pure hunger. Forsaking its kill for fresh meat. Its body falling to pieces, that stench, that horrible stench permeating the air. Like a seen out of a B-movie, it slowly lurches toward me, staring at you with its pale, soulless eyes. I turn to run and see more of his kind just outside the window, with the same look. I have no defense and run to the door that may save or take your life. Behind it, a gun points at your head. Instead of firing at me, the cop fires at the creature, multiple shots to the head, and it still appears to be living. Can you even call it living? No, it is surely not. But it was rotting. That means it must have been... no, it couldn't be. But I realize in all certainty that it was a zombie. Your brother, and now you, in a city, filled with zombies. Even as I look back at it I can't believe it. Zombies, and then later, mutants. It really was like a B-movie. Then after finding Chris not there, all that pain for nothing. Then there was Rockfort and Antarctica, the crazed Ashfords, Wesker, and you finally find Chris, or he finds you rather. On that island, though, I lost a friend, an ally, a person whose last words were a confession of love. Umbrella caused all this pain. Losing track of Chris, Sherry's parents dying, Steve and his father's death, Wesker, the man they now know for his super-strength, intelligence, speed, and the pure evil that resides inside him. All those people in Raccoon City and the members of stars. An estimated death toll of Raccoon city, over 100,000 people. Each with their own life. So many more must have been lost without even notice. Umbrella may appear to be gone, but I know it is still there, amassing its evil self and being as it always has. Just waiting to destroy more lives. Even with its zombies, its mutants, and all the other horrid creatures it has created in its attempt to play God, its most evil and sinister act is the fact that it can destroy lives and damn souls for all eternity without batting an eyelash, and continue doing it even after something such as Raccoon. Evil has a name, and it is Umbrella.
