Shizuo stepped back, admiring his handy work. The wreath dusted with gold glitter was a good touch. He looked up at the mistletoe hanging on the doorway he was standing in front of; that was a good touch too. It was cute, he told himself.

He already had a Christmas tree, fully decked in ornaments and flashing lights up, standing proudly in the hall.

"Isn't it a bit too early for Christmas decorations, Shizu-Chan?" A voice rang out behind him suddenly, making him shudder in anger.

"Izaya, what are you doing here?" He hissed at the brunette who was standing by leisurely.

"What do I do anywhere?" He grinned back.

"Annoy people?" The blonde offered but was somewhat stumped by the informant's first statement. It wasn't too early was it? Ah, it was already December, it was soon enough. Why was he letting the flea's words get to him anyway? He should know by now to just ignore them.

"Hm, how cold," Izaya muttered, pouting, before springing forward suddenly, pulling Shizuo in by his shoulders and placing a small kiss on his lips. He smiled into it when the blonde was unresponsive, but didn't seem to dislike it either, like he was just caught in the middle or caught by surprise, which Izaya figured was reasonable. He pulled away after a moment, somewhat eager to see the debtor's reaction.

Shizuo stared dazedly at him even after he had pulled away, stunned by the pressure that had come and gone so quickly, almost...missing it. He couldn't believe it. Did Izaya, his arch enemy, most hated person in the world, just kiss him?

Izaya smirked foxily.

"Wh-what the hell was that you louse?!" Snapping to attention, the blonde finally responded with something other than a dumb expression.

"Why, Shizu-Chan," the brunette smiled, "don't you know you're standing under mistletoe?"
