Disclaimer: Doe I own Fable? Only in my mind. Sadly the real world is not so kind.

AN: This idea hit me as I started a new game of Fable 2. I'm not too sure about the dialogue, so forgive me if it's out.

Rose felt the bullet from Lord Lucien's pistol slam into her with all the force of a sledgehammer. As she fell to the ground, she saw Lord Lucien point his weapon at her sister Sparrow.

"I'm sorry, I can't allow you to live either." Lucien said coldly. Rose tried to stand up, tried to put herself between Lucien and Sparrow, but she couldn't move. Lucien's bullet had lodged itself against her spine and she was paralysed. It was temporary and perhaps with time she might regain movement, but for now, when she REALLY needs it, she can't move.

The pistol barked again, followed by the sound of breaking glass. There is a sickening thud and Rose realises that Sparrow has also been shot and has been thrown out of the tower by the force. Rose let out a gasp of shock and misery and Lucien turned towards her.

As he steps towards her, she feels tears come to her eyes as her thoughts start to burn in her mind so badly that death would be a welcome relief. What is her life worth if Sparrow is dead? She ACCEPTED the invitation, SHE persuaded Sparrow to agree to work up the five gold coins they needed to buy that damn music box. After promising their parents, and to herself, that she would look after Sparrow, she had let them down in the worse possible way.

Lucien stood above rose and put the pistol barrel against her forehead. One last thought burned through Rose's mind, a realisation or perhaps a wild guess. That old woman, the blind one who suggested that they buy the music box. She set them up. She'd known that Lucien would do this. But why did she do it? What was she after?

Lucien's pistol barked once more and Rose died with her question unanswered. She never learned of the Tattered Spire, or about Sparrows survival. She would never know of the story of the four heroes who defeated Lucien's dark plans, or how the blind old woman would come to possess the Spire and all of its infinite power.

But if she had known of what Sparrow would achieve in the world, then perhaps she would've been proud.

AN: Maybe its me, but does everything happen just a little TO conveniently for Theresa in Fable 2?
